Single-Handed Shooting: Why Practice It?

This is a skill I always sharpen when at the range because you never know when Mr. Murphy is gonna kick you in the nuts when out on the street among the savages.

The old adage “Better to have it and not need than need it and not have it” not only applies to HARDWARE but SOFTWARE as well!

Train for those situations you think will never happen!

Murphy’s Law is always creeping!

Stay Alert, Armed and Dangerous!

being able to shoot single-handed is a key skill, practiced with both hands, with sights and without, from full extension to contact shot distance, and also as a contact/melee weapon. All of this not just for woking with an injured arm, but to take full advantage of every opporotunitg when it gets close and gross…

Another reason to practice pistol shooting one handed. Fbi stats show most shootings are within 6 ft. That means u are also in a fist fight, knife fight etc when in a gun fight. U may well have to survive a fist or knife to get to draw. And a well known instructor who teaches force on force noted only one person in all the years of his courses was able to do a proper two handed shooting grip in real time force on force. Therefore practice one handed

As I am best(on a good day) fair shooting 2 handed with a pistol spend most of me time trying to improve that skill.I do split mags to strong one hand and weak hand,9&40 gives me some practice/rounds due to capacity, since 1911 single stack me favorite and best hitting tis 4 with both hands and two and two weak, really need to work on this, including reload/cocking single hand if needed.
