A Look At Iran’s Brown Water Navy

If there’s one thing to be gleaned from the current deteriorating situation in Iraq, its that this has forced Iran’s hand into acting overtly instead of working through proxies and expanding their influence via their Fifth Column, Hezbollah. That said, the Strait of Hormuz is a critical choke point that they’ve strategized closing off since the overthrow of the Shah. 1, 2, 300 PBR’s versus an Aircraft Carrier? Wonder if anyone has looked at this using one of the Wargaming Programs…
All the Persian Navy has to do is Sink a single U.S. Capital Ship an they ‘Win’. An early, big Victory like this would reinforce the Patriots
there and reduce the ability fir their government to ‘negotiate a settlement’.

Similarly in the U.S., loss of a Carrier would harden support of Trump the Warmonger, and again, the ability of the administration to ‘Limit’ the War to a few attacks and a declaration of ‘mission accomplished.

Gee, I Wonder where those zooish Submarines are….
