Radio Contra Episode 12: I’m joined by Navy SEAL and best selling author Matt Bracken for a couple of hours, discussing the ongoing issues with Covid -19 and what a societal regression might look like. Other topics covered include sustainable living, leadership among small groups, sanitation, and what would happen in the long term when efforts at internal stability operations fail. Finally, we have a short discussion on his inspiration for writing, how his characters are created, and what sets his novels apart from others in the genre.

This was an excellent episode. I very much enjoyed the discussion about Mr. Bracken’s writing approach.
I don’t think we have enough data to draw any conclusions about the seriousness of the Corona virus. Certainly the societal breakdown is probable if the situation is as dire as some of the reports and video’s coming out of China early on would lead us to believe. The numbers coming out of the Diamond Princess indicate it is more comparable to the flu. As of 10 hours ago there were 7 deaths out of 700 confirmed cases.
It isn’t unreasonable to suspect anything being promoted by the feds and the make it up media. The same holds true for the Chinese government. Trump’s tariffs would have put a damper on the Chinese economy and exaggerating the problems of the disease provides cover for that as well as cover for suppressing dissidents. Those who crushed thousands of their people in Tienanmen Square would have no qualms about it.
Similarly, the federal reserve is losing its ability to blow bubbles in the economy and an engineered economic crash would be par for the course for our own deep state. Our own “leaders” happily mislead us into WWII, continue to cover-up the JFK (and other) assassinations, and used a very suspect story of 19 Saudi’s flying planes into the WTC and the Pentagon to justify the invasion of Iraq and 19 years (and counting) of wars in the middle east and Afghanistan. The CIA, FBI, and DOJ joined in an ongoing coupe attempt to bring down President Trump. It isn’t beyond belief that the CDC would join the other rogue agencies to further the attempt.
Time will tell. It is best to be prepared and skeptical. In any case the entire episode was informative and interesting. Thank you for your excellent work.
