Friday Ammo Grab: Hornady Frontier

Ammo pickings are getting slim, but that doesn’t mean there’s not deals going. A lot of companies gouged the hell out of their customers, like Cheaper Than Dirt, but others are working hard despite the chaos to get y’all what you need. Palmetto State has a daily deal going on 1,00rds of Hornady Frontier 55gr .223 for $399. That’s not bad during good times, and a no-brainer if you need ammo right now.

And you need ammo.

    40 cents a round?
    Not exactly a deal.
.223 can be had for under 25 cents a round at XXXXXX

Not exactly a deal for Hornady? You’re not finding Hornady cheaper than that. Let me explain something very simply to you Ned. It’s called capitalism and supporting what we do here at AP.

Unless you’re not a fan of capitalism or supporting what we do. In which case I can fix that.

I shoot a lot .. I must re-supply what I shoot. Just like everyone else .. I’m looking for ammo intel.

NC Scout is offering reliable content and up-to-date (i.e. real-time) intel. What you do with it (i.e. his intel) is your business.

What have you offered in the way of intel that would help our community? I’ll wait.

$400/case is a good price now? Wow, shows how long since I shopped for it regularly at $300 per case. But times are what they are & I see that’s the going rate for PMC’s M193 clone as well.
    .
I doubt they would but hope PSA (tremendous outfit) are not unloading some earlier Lot numbers (SMQ18C8xx-xxx) that were well-documented to cause some kabooms, blown primers & jacket ruptures. They seemed to have found that particular QA issue & fixed it going forward, one hopes.

Thanks for taking the ammo supply barometer reading.
