A few things to bear in mind.
    1. The standard tactic might be the pre-reconned home invasion. You don’t need a lot of weapon accuracy if you have a dozen shooters taking a home by surprise from multiple entries at 0300. Google earth/satellite view plus online tax records and social media are all such teams will need to find targets. Big house, pool, RV, boat, on multiple acres? All found from above. A daytime recon lets them find out about fences, gates, dogs, cameras. (Consider your own outward, UPWARD, and social media security profile.)
    2. Plate carriers or no plate carriers worn by the bad guy does not diminish the velocity of bullets fired at you.
    3. The event you refer to was basically a national recruitment pitch. It succeeded at that. Expect more such “musters” by the opposition.
    4. Anytime 200+ “shooters” gather, the 20 competent and trained guys will find each other among the knuckleheads. They will form form into units that are far above the average of those 200 seen in videos. The wheat will separate itself from the chaff.
    5. One or two trained operators are enough to manage the dozen untrained but willing shooters in that 12-person home-invasion team. The cream will rise to the top, and the trained operators will train the ones with potential up to a competent standard.
    6. Remember, to be 100% effective at their mission, they don’t have to be good enough to take down Fort Knox, or defeat a Ranger squad in the woods. They just have to be trained enough to take down a sleeping family at home in an isolated area.

The reason you do not wish to underestimate your enemy is because you will then underestimate the amount of force necessary to defeat them. I believe that is what many in The Patriot/prepper communities are doing now. Most partisans believe that we can resist at the present time using lawful means and that we will not need to transgress the law until some magical, future moment where the shtf occurs. They believe this because that is how it has occurred in other countries on previous occasions. I am not convinced that there will be a dramatic transition from the current state to a kinetic state. Nor do I believe there will be some magical shtf moment that will mobilize everyone. I think we are looking at a slow gradual descent into tyranny. I also believe that the time to transition from lawful to extra-legal conduct is very, very near. Perhaps our side’s greatest hindrance is that we are so accustomed to lawful conduct that we cannot bring ourselves to transgress even the smallest social norm or moré.

The current events, across the country should be enough to motivate folks to become familiar with Jeff Cooper’s color code state of mindset…

If you’re not at Yellow day in and day our, you are a walking, waiting victim who’s not going to do anything for your family but at best place them in peril.

We can discuss all sorts of potentials, but if you have not taken steps and measures to secure and protect your family, the rest may not matter. Any home invasion is going to be disrupted at a minimum by the obvious death of a point man by gunfire.

Check your surroundings. Watch your neighborhood. Observe all the traffic in and out. Be alert to unknown actors suddenly appearing. Be wary. Make sure your doors are locked and cars secured. Don’t make yourself a target and dang sure don’t be a soft target.

One thing that I took from, of all places, the lawyers in St. Louis that defended their home from the riot. Even though their hardware and their skill level were less than optimal, they had the one thing that made the difference in that encounter. They were WILLING to engage. They did not complain on a keyboard. They got up and did what needed to be done. There are damn few “patriots” that can make that claim today.

      I beg to differ.

They brandished weapons on a crowd. The only time you draw a weapon is when you’re gonna fire. And they had every right to, should have, and shouldn’t have stopped.

What they ended up doing was walking into the real ambush- catching a wealthy white guy threatening the BLM peaceful protest so that the ‘activist journalist’ could hand the edited video to the media.

      Which they did.

Robert Kennedy was killed with a .22 and last time I checked he was still dead.
