I’ve been trying to tell people for a long time that local level politics and issues need to be at the top of their list. It’s where it all starts at…. Great podcast as always.

During the American Revolution and the War of 1812(And probably the Civil War, but I haven’t formally studied that conflict yet)

All American traitors disloyal to the country escaped to ships offshore (Bracken”s Life Pod Sailboat anyone?) and spent the ENTIRE war there. Only allowing British Officers, and traitor governors, to see them in person. Everything else was carried out using military correspondence.

The only people who could be reached for comment were their mid grade leaders and a few zealous military commanders.

Spies were EVERYWHERE and hardly anyone could be trusted during both wars.

During the War of 1812 the British used Explosive Incendiary Mortars/Recoiless rocket weapons. EXACTLY the same as the fireworks we see used today. The British used these to standoff at 100-200 meters and volley fire into structures disloyal to the Crown. VERY EFFECTIVE. This weapon is what burned down Washington D.C. after the collapse of the line.

God Bless General Samuel Smith, the defender of Baltimore, and his 15,000 strong militia, Heroes of Baltimore.

A perfect defense. Deserving of an article(Perhaps I should write it as atonement for my attitude).

Every attack was perfectly countered. It was very much a textbook military victory. So much so, the number of important people to walk out of that Battle had a Geo-politcal effect that cannot be measured in words.

Our enemies are using the same tactics that worked previously. Hard to believe I know…

I neglected to mention. The introduction of this weapon scattered troops and horses. While creating concealment in the form of smoke. No American Troops or Horses had seen this weapon before. Also, the British would use these weapons to burn down farmhouses and businesses disloyal to the crown. Which is literally the same thing we are seeing today. And, the less lethal effect of the weapon was more of a punishment for treason than a death sentence. It had a psychological and sociological effect. House and business gone, but still alive, because the crown is reasonable, but angry. It was hard to motivate farmers to die for a cause that they had already survived once when they had noone and nowhere to send their families too. Obviously, that didn’t quite work as the British had expected.

Round two in Baltimore was a different story concerning the use of these new tactics and weapons. 15,000 militiamen were not happy that their neighbor’s homes and hearth was destroyed.

        Good insights.

Are you aware of infogalactic.com? it forked off of commiepedia…er, wikipedia, and does not allow SJW thought police to edit. Gradually, they are removing the cultural Marxist agitprop from the pages. There’s also a browser extension which will automatically redirect you there when you click on a link to commiepedia from an internet search.

Great show as always, absolutely spot on about psychological warfare and divide and conquer. Living in their head is free.

      Thanks brother!

Thanks for the morale boost, Scout. I needed one.

There certainly are a lot of OEF/OIF vets out there with tons of experience, and really locked on, even out of uniform. I’m glad to hear that a lot of them are patriots.

I’ve been expecting a conflict here on the home front since I entered civilian life, and trying to stay prepared for it (not always succeeding). One thing I’m finally getting right is acting locally. I’m finally back in a rural area and not part of some paramilitary gaggle birthed at a gun & knife show. I’ve built a confederation of allies organically, mostly just by trying to be a good neighbor. I don’t know exactly what’s gonna happen in my neck of the woods, but my neighbors and I at least have the satisfaction of knowing we’ve got each others’ backs. I think we’ll all last longer and bring more smoke than I could by myself, even if I was still young, dumb, and tough as woodpecker lips.

All that to say I believe you’re spot-on about the local vs. national perspective, and I advise others to follow your advice if at all possible with what time we have left.

  5. […] Good job, I only pointed this out two years ago. Oh yeah, and again on Radio Contra. […]

Great podcast, thanks again. Good comments on the carbine and white light set up. Let the situation dictate the tactics and equipment needed. Live in a rural area but have neighbors who have cattle and horses too, so not unusual for people to be out and about at night fixing fence rounding up strays, need positive target ID. But know when and how to use it, get training. Speaking of training, you are right on the money with the explosion of quality trainers out there. Retired in ’93 then went into LE, so yes I’m a baby boomer. Back then the quality options were much more limited. Can recommend Clint Smith and Thunder Ranch, 2 trips to Tx for urban rifle 1 and 2. Pat MacNamara, Ken Hackathorne, Streamlight low light instructor class I have attended and can recommend. Havent attended a formal class but know Kyle Lamb and have met Shrek McPhee both pretty good dudes and very experienced. If your in LE join the National Tactical Officers Assoc, they have first class training with Tier 1 teams, (my HRT class was LA Swat guys) and its priced right, as in 600 bucks for a 40 hr class.
Yes I get the differences from military to LE, was an 11B back in the day, when the environment deteriorates to the level that we have to go back to grunt stuff, will make the shift. Get your intel up and running, looks you’ll need it.
As always great podcast. looking forward to the next. Out here

Thanks brother! I’ll very emphatically second the guys on that list, having met most of them myself.
