Badlands Fieldcraft: We will always have to answer for how we act now.

Originally appeared on Badlands Fieldcraft. -NCS

As time goes on our government seems to be jumping through bigger and bigger hoops in order to maintain normalcy and control, so one has to ask himself “where we are headed?” I don’t claim to know the future and I’ll certainly not wager a guess on any specifics, but what I can say is this; our government can’t keep pulling rabbits out of hats forever. At some point, there will have to be consequences for the choices that have been made to produce the society we live in.

So currently we are dealing with a viral pandemic that has caused the government to shutdown our society, causing major upheaval to the economy in the process. This in turn has required new attempts by government to control the damage. Damage that was largely brought on by bad decisions that put the country in a bad position to begin with. For every problem that arises, the only solutions seem to be ones that will eventually evolve into more problems in the future. Consider the Federal Reserve’s helicopter money to bail out the stock market if you need any evidence.

My point in all this, is that we are front and center to the beginning of a new era, where the decisions of the past are beginning to come back to haunt the children and grand children of those who made those decisions.

We are at the point in time where the sun is beginning to set on the American Empire, and since it is such a large support structure in the global community, globalization will follow it. Many people overseas understand this, that’s why so many of them follow American politics. They understand that who gets elected here, affects them.

So as this cumbersome, wasteful beast begins to grind to a halt under the weight of its own ever expanding waistline, you may as well get used to the idea of chaos. Accept the fact that it too gets a seat at the table.

When/ if the current crisis calms down, there will be another, different one to replace it. This isn’t doom and gloom fantasy, just the reality of 160 years of bad ideas and selfish motivations.

We can’t keep kicking the can forever, and why in the hell would you want to?

I most certainly would prefer to rip the band aid off now and spend the rest of my life in hardship rebuilding than to lazily get by and force my children and grand children to deal with the results of decisions they had no choice in and benefited them little to none.

So use each time frame between crisis’ to prepare for the next. And use each crisis as an opportunity to learn and be an example.

No matter what you do, you will be judged for your choices and actions. Don’t let fear coerce you into making the “easy” choices. I wouldn’t want to be the man who has to answer to his grandson for his cowardice in the face of evil. Make choices that will let your progeny know what you stood for, even if you’re long gone when they are born. Ideas can’t be killed; some of the most formative ideas and traits I have learned came from people who are now gone, but it doesn’t make them any less real.

Remember: Courage isn’t the lack of fear, but rather appropriate action taken in spite of fear.

In times like these, I’m reminded of the words of Giuseppe Garibaldi: “I offer neither pay, nor quarters, nor food; I offer only hunger, thirst, forced marches, battles and death. Let him who loves his country with his heart, and not merely with his lips, follow me.”.
May God have mercy on my soul for the things I may be called upon to do in the coming months.

Courage is fear that has said its prayers

Ultimately, we will all answer to God. I want to hear, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”

Fairly speaking, our banks and corporations purchased the British Empire. And lend-leased the rest of their treasury into our ledgers. Our empire wasn’t much of a national endeavor, but rather an opportunistic asset forfeiture seizure.

I am praying that our leaders don’t sell off our country any more.
Look at what a 2-4% market share from the CCP has done to our country.
Or the gulf states who own our colleges and won’t criticize Islam. Ever. I have NEVER heard a professor criticize islam.

All of our best and brightest are convinced the other team are the good guys.

Somewhere a very long time ago, I read an interesting essay that the United States (not America) is still “owned” by the British Empire as long as the British Royal Family still exists and those “contracts” are still located in a vault within the City of London. This also applies to other countries that were part of the British Empire and “administered” by the East India Company with the enforcement and compliance under British Admiralty Rules.
It’s a good possibility that our country has been mortgaged several times over….but who owns the original note and what are the terms? Who is a “sovereign citizen”, more importantly what law establishes this and how is it enforced ?
(note: the purchase of Alaska from Russia and the Louisiana Purchase from the French)
I cannot confirm this so I must consider it as conspiracy theory until someone can prove this. Makes for an interesting novel though.

    Excellent comment.

Fieldcraft entails knowing every blade of grass in every season in your widest area of operation during daytime and nighttime. Study the area of your operations outside your AO carefully. Take notes especially range cards. Above all be patient and stay flexible. Sometimes a window of opportunity will open in your favor. Chance favors the prepared mind. Be humble. EGO and fear are mind killers. Don’t be that guy.
    Enough with the cliches.

I never expected or anticipated a situation like what we are facing today in our country. Normalcy bias lulling us into complacency, but prudence demands we stay vigilant and prepared. Only by the Grace of God will I and my family survive.
The biggest problem I have encountered is people will not be able to wrap their minds around having to get their hands dirty. The first time will be the decisive factor especially when their haven’t paid the initial price of admission (the rest are free). IMO this will be one pf the biggest hurdles many people will face.

It’s a rare individual who can go forth and exercise extreme violence, audacity and savagery, come home at night, have dinner with his family, play with his children, make love with his wife that evening and go out the next day, do it all over again and still maintain their sanity, humanity, courage, strength and honor. I pray to God that he may bless me this this armor.

The time left to us I will spend in quiet meditation and prayer to prepare my heart and soul for what I may need to do.
When I awake on Nov 4, I will have a better idea of what kind of world awaits us and proceed accordingly.

I pray for all of you that the Lord give you courage and strength to undertake the work at hand. With Trump being re-elected we will have to be even more vigilant and prepared, not let our guard down and become complacent – again. We will need to adjust our efforts to eliminate the threats one at a time quietly and decisively.
