I need to know more about those weapon mounted and field grade radar systems. I assume that can detect people(Or rather their equipment, and vehicles) Also, that’s A LOT of firepower.

And I am almost certain those Motorized Rifle Vehicles have a blade on the front so they can dig in, cut trenches, and make fighting positions. I don’t recall seeing those in the footage, but I am fairly certain they do have that kit on the actual field grade equipment.

Yes they do. There’s a handful of blogs out there that were dedicated to eastern block MTOE, and one forum called Sino Defense that had current pics and data on Chinese systems. Most have since fallen silent, likely for a reason.

        That’s disturbing…
How far away do I have to stay from that radar? It looks good for at least 2-3 Kilometers judging by the height, width, and density of the apparatus.
Battery power looks like it can be plugged right into their radio batteries and trucks, if it’s anything like our systems, or any other system in history.

DAMN!!! That’s a game changer. That explains the AI-Quantum security system and defense systems that the Chinese have.

        Yikes….

I could have sworn that I read about a similar system someone made for the US on the Soldier Systems blog within the past few years.

It even mentioned being able to detect things like foot steps from long distances due to small vibrations in the ground. I just can’t seem to find the blog post right now.

You should repost stuff like this. I didn’t know so many of our friends south of the border have these toys.
And, You mentioned in the comments there are hostile nation defense blogs.

I could use those please. I need to study this stuff. The Chesapeake Bay ALWAYS gets invaded and occupied during an American war. ALWAYS.

Which ever ones are best, with the least amount of wading through BS. Sino Defense is cool, but the comments go WAY off topic sometimes.

Did you see that music video from Azerbaijan? They had some NICE equipment. I posted the video in the last Armenia update.

    • NC Scout October 3, 2020 at 21:16

They got their equipment from Turkey.

I’m working on updating some of that reference material now.

Thank you. I suppose I should buy a copy of Jane’s Weapons? Since my grandfather passed away, I haven’t received a hard copy of anything firearms, heavy weapons, or vehicle related in 15 years.
I wouldn’t be bothered buying a reference source, even if the whole volume is $500 or so.

        • NC Scout October 3, 2020 at 22:35

It wouldn’t hurt, although much of it is still available online.

One thing I’d pick up as a hard copy though is Janes Helicopter recognition guide and pay close attention to the range of the aircraft between refueling.

That’s a hint- there’s going to be more on this later.
