American Partisan on Social Media!

I know many of you will roll your eyes at this post, but the truth of the matter is that social media is still a good way to inform the “Normies” about the truth of what is going on. Given the blatant steal currently being perpetrated by the Left, the now pissed-off MAGA crowds may be waking up to the reality that the country they thought they still had is gone and has been gone for some time. Of course, there will always be the “Lincoln Project” conservatives and Boomer FUDDs who are more concerned about their pensions than about what is right and will blindly say “gee golly, we’ll get them next election” without realizing that, if the Left has their way, this WAS the last election. But alas, I digress.

American Partisan is still on Facebook, Twitter (at least until we get kicked off again), and Gab , but we also recently joined Parler and MeWe. Parler, much like Gab, is attempting to go against Twitter as a competitor. Similarly, MeWe is attempted to compete with Facebook (much like the now-deceased Freezoxee).

I do not do social media at all, that said, have many times posted links to articles here on other sites as did today on a few sites with Matts new article, the word gets out/travels in many ways, but it does get out and about.

Youtube, you guys need youtube videos. Youtube has helped alot of people launch their platform in the training, 2a, prepper and patriot movement. ( john lovell, reid henrichs, skinny medic, sootch, and lest we forget james yeager.)

        That Dude,

We were thinking of doing a series of YouTube video’s titled, The Mixology Partisan. In the series, we would introduce proper camo mixology clothing, proper canteen material for your dirty martini or Manhattan, e.g. steel or plastic, the proper handgun caliber for the bar scene, etc.

We need to do a lot of things at AP, respectively, YouTube video’s ain’t one of them at this time. The logistics are too involved and the editors are separated by hundreds of miles, to make it work.

Thank you for your suggestion That dude.

        88 & God Bless

The Youtube thing has been beat to death.
Keep doing what you are doing.
Plus, You’ll just get shadow banned anyway.
Why fight uphill when you can play on your own field?

          • That dude November 17, 2020 at 15:19

Because it works, John lovell got his start on youtube and now is one of the most successful trainers out there.

        • That dude November 17, 2020 at 15:15

Well with great ideas like that, hard to figure why you wouldnt want to do youtube videos.

    Gotta agree with Johnny P.

That said, I’m on Gab and MeWe. Now that I know AP is there, I’ll for sure join the groups.

FWIW, I just started a MeWe group called “Patriotic US Armed Forces Veterans.” No agenda beyond giving like-minded veterans an online place to hang out, share news of interest, trade war stories, whatever. I was shadow-cancelled from a veteran’s group on Gab. Don’t know exactly why and nobody told me; but I suspect it was because of some of the counter-narrative news I shared, and because I triggered some of the communist faggots who troll there. We’ve only got a few members so far, and it may stay that way, because I’m gonna try to keep all the communist faggots out, as well as NeoCons and the “Lincoln Project conservatives” you speak of. Not sure exactly what a “Boomer Fudd” is (have a theory, but would love to know for sure). I’m not filtering people out just because they’re boomers. Got some Vietnam vets already, but turned other boomers away because I don’t think they’d be a good fit. Same as I’ll do with Millennials and my fellow Xers. Anyway, I’m not trying to form the biggest baddest online group by any means; but some of the people here on AP seem like the kind of dude the group is for, and might want to check it out.

Either way…drive on, Airborne. Airborne: drive on.

One option is to run your own XMPP server. ejabberd is a great open source one and there are a number of free clients with very strong encryption available. No one can shadow ban you because you control it.

I am suspicious of all of these platforms – especially Parler.

Parler explicitly states they will not provide information to “foreign” governments and doesn’t mention US state or federal governments. Wonder why. They also have big money backing and Dan Bongino is a part owner. Read their privacy policy.

Gab sells “aggregated information.” The idea that there is no personally identification disclosed is crap. It is the same scam about HIPAA and medical info not being disclosed. They may redact your name and address but there is always enough data for the purchaser to unmask you.

MeWe seems to be the least offensive but no where in their privacy policy do they state that they do not sell information. Therefore they do.

People get lured into using these services thinking that they can grow an audience or that their voice can be amplified. They can do these things on these platforms but only at the risk of sudden de-platforming and only by accepting that they are providing grist for the surveillance mill.

We do not need centralized social media platforms. We need communication tools that deliver messages without the ability to access the contents.

    • Patriotman November 17, 2020 at 07:55

No one at American Partisan explicitly promotes social media platforms. None of us have personal accounts on them. Some people do, however, and it is still one of the best ways (for now) to spread our articles to people who do not find the site any other way.

      • JD November 17, 2020 at 20:47

I should have been more specific and didn’t intend anything as criticism. I know that you guys don’t promote social media. Exploiting it as an effective way to get exposure to people you might not otherwise be able to reach is strategically sound. The people who find you on twitter or one of the other platforms will get educated to the dangers. By all means promote AP however you can. However, for singing to the choir between like minded people there are a lot of better alternatives that don’t as easily fill out the surveillance matrix.

        • Patriotman November 17, 2020 at 21:12

Oh, I did not read it as criticism! I 100% agree

“Boomer FUDDS” – probably know in context what’s meant there, but a question for the Author. Does the Author just qualify it with “Fudds”, or is that an entire generational thing, i.e., Boomers are kicked to the curb, don’t apply, see ya?

    • Patriotman November 17, 2020 at 11:37

While some in my generation categorically kick Boomers to the side, I do not – hence the FUDDs qualifier. I know Boomers who are actually seeing the reality and doing something about it.

I do kick to the side those Boomers who scream and run their mouth on social media about how mad they are about the Gubmint and the Left before the election, see the obvious steal occurring, and just decide to take it laying down and accept the results out of some failing moral argument to accept whatever the immoral Left throws at us in the name of some ideals that have been dead for years – ideals that, consequently, died under their watch.

      • Badger November 17, 2020 at 11:59

Fair enough. I don’t kick all Millenials to the curb for the same reason; hell, they’ve been fighting a big chunk of our stupid wars for some time now, even though there is also a cohort of that generation that is nearly devoid of any reading on the initiative meter. Best generalization about generations is perhaps not to generalize.

I think people can make individual choices, be responsible for them, and they can be supported or avoided based on them. Sometimes those can be a convenient scapegoat. If a social value “dies” because of inaction by one, who let it die? It gets to be like holding a mirror up to a mirror. I mention all this only because the blame game or circular firing squad hasn’t gotten us far it seems.
        :)
