Deceased – FoxNews

I started to notice changes over at FoxNews… oh about six-months ago. There were new commentators like Donna Brazil and others hired from the Clinton and Obama team to comment on the news.

Then it really hit home starting election night. They called Arizona for Biden with 5% of the state’s ballots counted. Then they did not call states like Texas and Florida even though they knew the results within 30 to 60-minutes of the polls closing.

Then the final straw came Monday during the Neil Cavuto show when he cut off the press secretary Kayleigh McEnany’s, press conference,

My degree is in journalism. Even worked for a few fish wrappers once out of college. Changed my profession after I was not making any money peddling the news. With that written, the fourth estate that use to be a group of folks that strives for truth no longer does.

I predict that the next to be phased out of FoxNews are some of the veteran commentators and programs like Tucker Carlson and others. Look what they did to O’ Reilly.

Today it is raining and it is time to take the reins and drop my cable service, save a shitton (Accounting term) of money and find a intewize live streaming service that has NewsMax and OAN along with MrsMac’s few favorite TV channels. I have a TV antenna so I can pick up the usual channels from the small city northwest of me and we will be golden. If we are Jonesing for The Five, we have a Sirius radio and channel 114 for that.

Tucker and other shows we like on FoxNews, well we can pick up on YouTube. Hannity I can take or leave so that will not be an issue.

There you go. We are cutting the cable. I wonder how many of you folks have done likewise already. See, you can teach old dog’s new tricks.

We’re ditching DirecTV. It’s way past being useful.

I always considered Fox News as controlled opposition. Remember what Lenin said about the opposition? I gave up watching TV way back in the early 1970’s so I’m not familiar with their overall format or political philosophy. Back in the first years of this century, I can remember their great sales pitch as being “fair & balanced” whatever that means. I never liked their pro war stance being pushed by the neo-con & mostly chicken hawk anchors like O’Reilly & Hannity. Overall, who needs TV at all? I still recall Newton Minnow, a former FCC commissioner, calling TV, “a vast wasteland” during a speech before the National Association of Broadcasters. Keep in mind that was 1961! It’s been all down hill for the boob tube since then.

      Yup.

    • Johnny Paratrooper November 11, 2020 at 12:13

      Of course it is.
      Narrative control.
90% of the social media is narrative control, limited hangouts(or a variation of), and IIA operatives.
At least, that’s what I was told.
Generals, like Spalding or Flynn, who tell the truth get 1 or 2 retweets.
Drunk methhead anchormen get “banned” for telling the “truth”

Imagine what we know today relative to 10 years ago.
      Now imagine 2030…

There is a reason Flynn gave a speech to rally and motivate Digital Soldiers…
He knows, but he can’t tell us because of clearances and NDA’s.

      “Faux News” I agree

    My #$%@ married a tech/satelite/cable investor.
    #$%^ is a drunk A**hole/B*tch.
These people are all making fun of us and torturing us.
Like pouring salt on a slug.
    They really, truly, aren’t human.
They live in a different world, above us in helicopters, penthouses, and ski resorts.
I don’t think some of them even know how to cook an egg.

Welcome to the club! We cut the cord three years ago and haven’t looked back.

  7. 71M November 11, 2020 at 11:29

Just a bit over ten years ago, the wife and I agreed…cut the insane cable! The propaganda was more than we could take. The last Presidential administration (2008-2012), dripped with the slobbering of Left wing “journalists” that no Maalox seemingly could cure. Styrofoam columns, lowering of the seas, to finally, “you didn’t build that!” for business owners, AUuuugghh!.

One may think they cannot do without TV,, but ohhh, you will truly love the extra hours to pursue useful interests. Many options for entertainment & news exists without incessant propaganda.

Our farm is in a narrow valley that prevents local TV broadcast reception. Not a problem. Local TV is just as intolerable as the big MSM.

Trust me, your household IQ will go up in 10 points in the first week, AND the need for Maalox/Pepto will go down. Just imagine what the household can do without the full spectrum cable monthly invoice.

    Do it!

    • johnyMac November 11, 2020 at 12:32

      71M, and all.

Just looking at all of the options today. I really need nothing on TV, my wife wants Animal Planet which I can’t stand BUT, I have been married for 44-years so I have to keep peace in the tepee.

With that all said, if I have any down time it is usually reading or playing radio. In the past, the TV goes off at 0900 hrs and then back on at 2000 hrs for Tucker. On occasion my wife turns the boob tube on for The Five. We use the Roku way more than cable for movies and other things.

I will let you know how we fair.

      73 & God Bless folks.

I haven’t had satellite or a tv for close to 5 yrs now. One of the best things I ever did. Now if I could just find good quality rural satellite internet or cell service I’d be happy.

      • ConSigCor November 11, 2020 at 15:26

No cable, cell phone or social media. Have no use for any of their garbage. Pull in 45 channels of Nothing But Crap on the antenna and a ROKU gives us plenty of content to watch.

If you dump cable and cell, take that “extra” money and invest it in your own comms infrastructure totally independent of their controlled system. You want regret it.

  8. Brad November 11, 2020 at 13:37

We switched to Newsmax when FOX started calling states for Biden with zero returns. Haven’t been back since. A lot of the old original FOX people are there. Carl Higbie has a show Saturday mornings which is excellent.

  9. SVS November 11, 2020 at 14:45

We were basically only watching Tucker Carlson as well, so cut the cord a few months ago and just watch that show online. Defunded MSM and increased my ammo budget in one fell swoop.

Here’s a good link for finding the right antenna, the HD is better over the air anyway: https://antennaweb.org/

    • johnyMac November 11, 2020 at 15:24

      Thanks SVS!

Fox has turned into the BORAT news network, really stupid and painful to watch. I have to cut the loose also. They are dead to me.

  10. HP November 11, 2020 at 15:04

Gotta hand it to the left- they truly do put principal above profit. Wonder how long it takes for the revenue dip to actually affect the bottom line of the Murdoch wives. At some point they’ll have to switch to the CNN “no actual revenue” business model. Big Pharm Ad buy > pay salary for shill anchor > get swamp creature elected > sweethart gov deal for Big Pharm. Rinse, repeat.

Roast In Pieces Fox News you cheese dicks!!

  12. Randolph Scott November 11, 2020 at 16:57

ROKU for us, no paid addons except for Amazon prime just for the movies and series programs like Bosch etc. We haven’t had cable TV for about 15 years. Soon to drop ATT for internet as well. Switching to BOLT internet for less than half what ATT charges.

  13. Green Mountain Shooter November 11, 2020 at 17:22

Since R. Murdock left the network to his offspring it’s been downhill from there. I cut them loose the other day with a Dear John letter and got on to newsmax.com at my wife’s suggestion. Other media sources for us are Brighteon.com and the social media site parlor. Screw ’em, we’re better than that.

Johnny’s link is right on time. I think NewsMax is another CUX News, primed to sell us out at another critical juncture. Don’t know much about OANN yet, but will check them out.
