Watch It Again: The Battle Of Algiers

This is, without a doubt, the most critical film you need to watch when it comes to asymmetric warfare. It has been screened at least since the 1970s to Special Forces candidates, Intelligence Agency staff, and in graduate level Sociology courses. And for a damn good reason- it is the most accurate film on how to organize a movement probably ever made. I originally posted it some time back here on American Partisan and current events require its posting yet again.

Yes, its black and white and in French. And yes, it is a deadly accurate picture of how an insurgency works in the real world. Replace the FLN with AntiFa or Black Lives Matter. Then replace them with yourselves.

Keep your cells small and keep them local. If you do not know the person and most importantly, they have little to no generational ties to your area, they’re not your people. Period. No matter how much you like what they tell you. In Tom Barry’s excellent personal account of the Irish Civil War, IRA units rarely left the county they grew up in and it created an intelligence nightmare for the Black and Tans.

Many have emailed me and commented about a perceived lack of organization on the Right. That’s a strength, especially at this time. Focus on your local ties and organization. And harden up.

The recommendations in the last paragraphs are about the first useful comments I’ve read anywhere in a week.

They still haven’t figured out what insurgents are, nor are they expecting that sort of dance. See Podesta et al.
There are thousands of Peterbuilt and Kenworth radiators waiting for you. Lots of other stuff as well.

Having to do some hard thinking about my lack of long-term generational ties to my area, here are few things that have helped me that may help others:

    1. Spousal family ties. If your side of the family doesn’t have this deep seated trust, but theirs does, that’s now your clan, warts and all.

    2. Any Christian groups you have long-lasting ties to: Who are those that have made very costly commitments to their faith and community with no earthly reward? This could involve those who moved for long-term for missions / church-plants, people committed to having large families, folks who essentially took a “vow of poverty” by declining career opportunities or a second income to raise children. Those that have been persecuted for their faith and stuck with it.

    3. Any friends that were by your side during hard times during the pre-2016 “good old days.” I.e. Non-fair-weather friends.

The above options aren’t as good as having those long lasting multi-generational ties to a local area, but they’re much better starting point than joining the online FBI Moolishuh honepot forum / facebook group.

How much has your social circle “paid” for their membership?

It’s been a long time since I saw this one. Well worth a second watch. Thanks for reminding me.

Basically, even though Mathieu’s strategy worked and they cut the head off the tapeworm, the head became martyrs that inspired universal civil disobedience/insurrection. The French government didn’t have the political will to put it down again. Much like the US government after North Vietnam violated the Paris Treaty and attacked the South…again.

If we are to be insurgents, we will be lacking many of the advantages the FLM had. We aren’t united culturally or by religion, and won’t necessarily be able to trust our neighbors. If you’re in a city, running from government troops, and rush inside the first unlocked door you find (first of all, is there such a thing as an unlocked door in urban America anymore?), odds are highly unlikely you’ll be welcomed as brothers and offered a place to hide. There’s no solidarity on the right, much less among US citizens writ large. Even if government forces are reinforced with foreign occupation troops; half the population will welcome them; obediently self-quarantine; wear masks; take vaccines; snitch on their neighbors…whatever somebody with a badge or an office tells them to do. Most of us aren’t willing to put our women and children in harm’s way, either. Could be wrong about that–decades of action movies have convinced a lot of people that girls are such badasses that they belong in the combat arms–and even in SOF. But I wouldn’t ask my wife or kid to carry out a terrorist bombing.

The other side probably isn’t bothered by those scruples, though. They assault little old ladies on the street just because they’re there. They abuse patients at nursing homes. They murder next door neighbors’ children, or random children. And who nows what the RevCom leadership do to children. Plus, they’ve been watching those same movies about badass womyn warriors. They won’t hesitate to have women and kids plant bombs, knowing most of us will be like the French in Algiers–unwilling to frisk them for weapons. Womyn are superior to men in every way (just watch TV), yet simultaneously our victims and delicate flowers who you just don’t treat that way. And who would feel comfortable patting down or interrogating a kid? I doubt if there are any TSA agents on our side. Again, conversely, the RevComs will have no qualms about doing it to our loved ones, though. In fact, they’ll probably intentionally target our women and children as leverage to make us surrender, collaborate, name names, etc.

If the coup fails though, and some heavy hitters are on our side–the conflict will be much more manageable. We’ll have some of the same problems the French did, but some advantages they didn’t.

Never in society have we had so many soft people, nor have they been so divided mentally. All of this intentionally implemented via decades of our Bolshevik media.
One thing apparent was the use of women as distractions, rushing the soldiers while twirling skits and veils, knowing the soldiers wouldn’t raise their weapons against them. Then they were instantly surrounded. Very dumb move (on part of soldiers) and another reason for barriers such as concertina wire.
Not sure the American people are up to this, they’re still too distracted and obedient to Big Brother.
