Could VP Pence Invoke the 25th Amendment?

While monitoring Twitter this evening, I came across a potential nuclear bomb of a tweet from a fairly big name in the journalism world SHOULD it come to fruition. The tweet came from Margaret Brennan, who is the Moderator of Face the Nation on CBS and a Senior Foreign Affairs Correspondent. While I do not believe such “anonymous sources” from MSM journalists, it fits completely with what has taken place today.

This may seem insane, but consider this. The deployment of National Guard members to DC was initially delayed. According to the Acting Secretary of Defense (the official release can be found here):

Could the Elites be stupid enough to throw dynamite on an already towering bonfire instead of just waiting 14 days? We will keep you up to date throughout the night if anything changes.

I just finished a long conversation with a middle-of-the-road conservative… and his comment was that ‘they/them’ kick the hornet’s nest with this election scamming. Now they are actively talking about invoking the 25th Amendment against Trump.
Talk about busting open the hornet’s nest with a cricket bat!! But this hornet’s nest will be a nest of those Asian hornets the size of Cessna’s.
You want to kick off a civil war–go ahead and invoke the 25th Amendment.
Pence as it turns out is just another spineless fuk-stain waiting to stab President in the back from the get-go.
I thin the only reason Trump put this clown on the ticket was to keep the Jesus-Ninnies in line and because he looked like Superman’s father.
Today is was revealed the full depth of the depravity of the thugs governing in DC.
    Wrap your skulls around this.

I think I understand the best way forward into the new chapter we are heading to. It involves state and local level officials and Brackens read “ A Day at the Coup” that is probably a paraphrase. We need a certain type of politician most likely not on the National scene. We need their bios and pics and locals. And if we can get to National ones thats just gravy.
      Fuck it this is war.

        Battle lines are drawn

I mostly agree but not a politician. An Ammon Bundy-type person. I’ve been reading about Guerrilla warfare of which I am not a fan. However, General Grivas of the Cyprus independence movement said some interesting things. One was that whenever he was in the company of as little as 6 of his men, it made him uncomfortable that there was too many. 5th Generation warfare, if it’s real, will have changed things but the bottom line is a couple of well-trained fire teams can move mountains. General Grivas had more or less 1,000 men taking on 10’s of thousands of British and Turks and still won. All This on the small island of Cyprus. Very inspiring. His just-over-100 page memoirs sell new for almost $800 on Amazon.

        • NC Scout January 7, 2021 at 09:53

5th Gen warfare absolutely is ‘real’, its the color revolutions you’ve seen over the past decade.

        • StormN January 7, 2021 at 11:14

Oh yea I forgot to add another thing but first: I hear ya, NC Scout about the 5th Gen. thing but as an old man I’m entitled to be late to the party which I usually am. Nothing wrong with that.
What I forgot to add was that Grivas said that armies trying to fight a (conventional) war against guerillas is like a tank trying to squash a field mouse. A cat would be better. Great analogy, methinks. Either way a couple of well-trained fire-teams . . .

This could be interpreted another way: We keep moving our line in the sand.
They fought against Trump’s entire agenda. We threatened to stand up and fight.
BLM riots, we threatened to stand up and fight.
Then the election was stolen, and we threatened to stand up and fight.
Now we are saying that if they invoke the 25th, we will stand up and fight.
Why is their invocation of the 25th just another line in the sand, when we’ve drawn a hundred others?

I personally suspect this was part of the plan all along including allowing the protestors entry into the Capitol to blame it on Trump.
The deep state has been threatening to put Trump in jail from day one and has repeatedly said he’d be escorted out of the White House by the military, die in jail, etc.
They impoverished the population, fomented unrest, steal an electios, and think they’ll pull this off now.
Those nice suburban homes they live in with pretty lawns don’t look very resilient to siege. They look like very elaborate mausoleums.

Our side must stop with the thinking that everything is staged and nothing is real. If it was staged, then you’re saying our side has no initiative, no agency at all. It doesn’t matter if the police opened the barricades. It doesn’t matter if there was a handful of AntiFaTards hanging out in the crowd. People are even starting to say that the woman who got shot was an AntiFa plant.
This has to stop. If we think that literally every single thing that happens is staged and planned, then just go home and play some video games or something. It’s all a waste of time.

      • NC Scout January 7, 2021 at 08:56

The technical term is called ‘eating the popcorn.’
The truth is far more difficult to accept. It is literally irrelevant whether or not ‘antifa’ was part of the crowd. It is equally irrelevant to presuppose any sort of ‘mass arrests’ or other nonsense. Not happening.
What you saw yesterday was the first shot of people not taking this anymore. OWN IT. EMBRACE IT. FOSTER IT. The only change is coming from what we do.

      • StormN January 7, 2021 at 09:25

I agree. I add that you don’t have to be sure about what is going on to proceed with confidence, caution and humility. It’s the discomfort of not knowing and being able to argue with absolute proof that drives us to over-imagine shit that gets into trouble and insane. This is typically harder for younger people.

      • vyt1az January 7, 2021 at 12:20

I agree with you. I like to point this out because my hope is that people expect it, and develop a bit more planning and patience, not turn to inaction over it.
Thinking along the lines of what I originally wrote may have likely resulted in fewer arrests last night and fewer networks being broken up by the Feds.

      • SOG January 7, 2021 at 16:59

Antifa undercover in MAGA Garb, real MAGA folks got baited, great optics for left, now they have 6K Nat Guard en route, curfew emergency order in effect for another 2 weeks, and talking about DC statehood, they had it all mapped before the event.

  4. Machine Trooper January 6, 2021 at 23:17

They’ve considered using the 25th Amendment before, so this is hardly farfetched. The clock is running out on Trump. I hope he had good reason to sit idle for so long.

    • NC Scout January 6, 2021 at 23:20

      Whatever Trump does is irrelevant.

      • RB in GA January 6, 2021 at 23:53

        Agreed!

      • Gray Man January 7, 2021 at 07:30

In the face of a stolen election, and his people rising up to fight back, Trump suddenly saying he will commit to a peaceful transition of power to the people who stole it is effectively a resignation with only two weeks to go.
Might as well take himself to prison.

        • NC Scout January 7, 2021 at 09:00

This ain’t about Trump. His election, as I’ve stated ad nausem, is an indicator. Nothing more. This is the next step.

    • Patriotman January 6, 2021 at 23:22

Agreed. I better see some 4D Wizard’s Chess

      • Gray Man January 7, 2021 at 07:38

I agree. I do wonder though, what part of Q’s plan includes Trump’s capitulation?

A lot of the Republicans are at best naive regarding the present situation.
The November, 1917 Russian Constituent Assembly, was Russia’s only free and fair elections up to that time. The Bolsheviks, already having taken overall power in a coup weeks earlier, (ie Red October), were trounced in the election results, but, immediately began work to undermine the assembly’s authority.
When the assembly met for it’s one and only time for thirteen hours on January 18th/19th, 1918, the Bolsheviks lost their proposed legislation battles. Their response was simply to dissolve the assemby by locking down the meeting house the next day. They created their own all Bolshevik assembly and went from there.
The non-Bolsheviks (often democracy accepting socialists) thought they could return to power in future elections, but found:
The socialists’ plan was partially successful in that Soviet re-elections in the winter and especially spring of 1918 often returned pro-SR and anti-Bolshevik majorities, but their plan was frustrated by the Soviet government’s refusal to accept election results and its repeated dissolution of anti-Bolshevik Soviets.
These are folks who don’t accept rule of law.

Yes. This is the prefect summation.

  8. Snotty Boy January 7, 2021 at 16:09

The poor woman that was murdered is what “peaceful protests” get you.
It seems to me that the only way we win is that we kill more of them than they kill of us.
    An ugly thing war.
