Don’t forget to order the Fruit and Veggie packages. Impacted Bowels can, and will, kill you.
Have fun dying of a burst colon because you ate rice, fish, deer, and powdered eggs for 2 months straight.

Definitely! And along with that, powdered fiber (like Metamucil or Benefiber) is dirt cheap if you buy the generic store brands, it’s worth stocking up several jars of that too. Also, look at what wild greens are edible in your area, they are a good source of fiber. Dandelions grow almost everywhere and can usually be found even in the winter.

Baby dandy lions are delicious. And if you pick them, instead of pulling them like a weed, they grow back. They also grow rather quickly. I used to do landscaping and I was also surprised at how quickly dandelion grows.

I have a recipe for a dressing with vinegar and bacon in it for dandelion salad, it is absolutely delicious with the young greens. The flowers make good jelly too.

I’m sure most are aware of this, but refrain from eating dandelions from where herbicide or chemicals have been used on the vegetation.

Thanks for pointing that out, it is definitely something to remember. None of those chemicals are things we want to eat. Roadsides are a very poor place to harvest dandelions.

Never want to mulch or compost with grass clippings that have been likewise been sprayed. Too many persistent chemicals in the grass.

Nothing like the great results also of having two heaping tablespoons of
Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth every morning stirred in a tall glass of water.
