VIDEO: The Russian Military Forum: Russia’s Hybrid War Campaign – Implications for Ukraine and Beyond
A very informative – though admittedly more academic – look at Hybrid Warfare as exercised by the Russians. From the Youtube description:
The CSIS Russia and Eurasia Program is pleased to invite you to a discussion with Dr. Phillip Karber, President of the Potomac Foundation, a defense and foreign policy think-tank. Dr. Karber, who is also a former DOD official and veteran defense analyst, will discuss Russia’s “hybrid warfare” campaign in eastern Ukraine. Dr. Karber has traveled repeatedly to eastern Ukraine during the present conflict, and has spoken first-hand with a number of the participants. Dr. Karber will draw on these discussions to elaborate on the techniques of Russian hybrid warfare, evaluate their effectiveness, and explore their implications for both Ukraine and the West.

This was actually fascinating. After watching this, I went on to watch a few more lectures about Ukraine by Dr. Karber, and if I’m understanding him correctly, a huge issue the Ukrainians are facing is the inability for their infantry to stand up to armor groups penetrating their lines. Is there a down’n’dirty way to deal with armor like this, or does it simply need support from outside nation states to supply them with modern anti-tank weapons?
The huge issue of the Ukrainians and other ZATO vassals is listening to assholes like Karber. All his ilk want out of Ukraine is the same Hitler and all other invaders wanted, land, women and minerals.
No amount of ‘hybrid’ bullshit will change the fact ‘Ukraine’ was a concoction of a desperate Berlin in 1917 and subsequent Lenin/Stalin/ Kruschev skullduggery. East ‘Ukraine’ is Russian/Orthodox- West ‘Ukraine’ is Papist former Polish colony.
The only thing Russia wants is ZATO out and some adults running the place. Commerce will take care of the rest.
