hmmmm..seems the chicoms took a page from the russian playbook in wwii, when they introduced the T34, what some consider, and i agree, as the finest battle tank of the war…
The chicoms DO NOT value life, soldiers lives, as we in the west do, and do everything possible to insure crew survivability ..
Hence, this tank, at 33-35 tone, 1/2 the weight of an abrams, means their transpo can carry more per trip, and as Stalin opined, quantity is its own quality.
They can saturate the battlefield with more tanks, like we did in wwii with the Ronson, aka M4 Sherman, and come at opfor tanks from multiple angles of attack, overwhelming the enemy tanks.
This is a perfect tank for mobile infantry/airborne/maritime forces, etc.
specs look good, and it’s “good enough,” at least in the chicoms eyes…

I am not sure that a lighter more mobile but still protected medium tank for mobile warfare isn’t the best solution.

The main upside of light weight/ low ground pressure is traversing ground the heavies can’t . The T 34 was light with wide tracks floating around in the snow and muck

Rollinh scrap iron. Good for suppressing Chinas own population and that of third world nations. If you own the air tanks are coffins. Javelins are King Cobras to tanks. A-10’s are Vultures.
