Armed Prepared Citizen Load-out series

I put this series together to try and show a few different setups, and to reiterate that the mission drives the gear. It is not meant to suggest that you should be set up this way, nor is it intended to be all inclusive of what I am doing. There are some things I did not show, for reasons…. Set your gear up for your situation and resist the urge to simply copy the latest industry/socially popular doorkicker.

I enjoyed this video and ones like it from other content providers.
I’ve often thought that if I was quietly guarding in my neighborhood…
Beyond the weapon, a satchel/soft briefcase with a few reloads, a water bottle, a knife, flashlight, poncho, and an IFAK would be the low key way to go.

I do too. He made one similar to this a while back that I saw after I fell into a youtube black hole.
I immediately put together a proper LBE. Water, snack pockets, accessories like compass/radio/light, and Ammo.
The rig still weighs over 20 pounds wet but it’s the correct answer to 99% of situations.

just watched the entire series to date. Worth the time folks.
I totally understand why you didn’t go through what type of lighter and water bottle you carry, everyone needs to figure that out for themselves and for their situation.
The fundamental load outs for the specific mission is really the important thing to get across.
Really appreciate all the time & effort you have put into this John. You are correct, we work with what we have, but if you can tailor the rig to the specific mission you absolutely should.
Keep it simple, keep it light, load for the mission and don’t over do it.
This is great to pass along to friends who are new to it and want to carry the kitchen sink, not understanding the specific roles.
