List of Bombings in the Iraq War: Case Studies and Stats
Iraq Body Count Analysis Website
I complied a list of links to help familiarize you with what was going on in Iraq during the war.
The link above is a general list of violent ends.
This list, along with the links, are sourced from Army reports, Iraqi police reports, and news reports of ONLY the bombings. You, the American Citizen, only heard of but a small fraction of what we dealt with daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly.
This does not include kidnappings, murders, sniper attacks, grenade attacks, rocket attacks, and mortar attacks.
War is a loud, confusing, and violent experience. Even though I was on the ground, and nearby to the scene of many of these attacks, I only felt the explosion in my body, heard the blast (sometimes faint) some seconds later, and could listen to the sirens and helicopters and radio transmissions.
Believe me when I say:Â It is the wild, wild Middle East.
This is the list of bombings during my tour. I believe it to be incomplete.
Nobody knew what was going on.
Ever.
Please take some time to read through this and understand what a chaotic situation it was.
A civil war in the U.S.A will look much, much worse. There are men and women in this country who are much more capable, and dangerous than the Iraqi people and foreign mercenaries they welcomed into their nation.
