Dutch Government claims proof of Russian Treaty Violation

The Dutch government claims it has direct evidence of Russia’s violation of the Intermediate Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty, according to NL Times.

“The Netherlands can independently confirm that Russia has developed and is currently introducing a ground-based cruise weapon”, the two Ministers wrote to the Tweede Kamer, the lower house of Dutch parliament. This is based on “intelligence”.

Although not specifying what this ‘intelligence’ is, knowledge of the Russian violation has public since at least 2014 by the United States, although no action other than useless verbal rebuke was taken. If confirmed this will indeed mean the end of the INF treaty in its current form resulting in the rapid unveiling of these weapons’ capabilities. It is plausible that these missiles are already present in the Western hemisphere. A rapid buildup of military infrastructure in Cuba would suggest future plans. Based on the statements published, the plans to arm Cuba can be expected. Once confirmed the escalation will happen quick; coupled with intense domestic discord here in the US, a perfect exploitable opportunity is being fomented by the Sino-Russian alliance.
