Twitter’s Board Gets ‘F’ From Former SEC Chair for Not Acting in Best Interest of Shareholders Regarding Elon Musk’s Offer

Twitter’s board of directors deserves an “F” grade for the way it’s handled billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk’s offer to buy the giant social media platform, former SEC Chairman Harvey Pitt told Yahoo! Finance Live on Monday.

Asked to grade the Twitter board of directors’ “poison pill” plan to prevent Musk from purchasing the company, Pitt explained that the board gets an F for ignoring their responsibility to act in the best interests of the company’s shareholders:
