What If the Presidential Succession System Works Just as Planned? by Scipio

Let’s say Joe Biden becomes so incompetent that he can no longer make another bungling, confusing, scary, pitiful appearance.  He is both insane and incompetent. What if things get so bad, Joe is banished back to his basement and hidden from public view like the mentally ill were in the Dark Ages?  What if the charade can no longer be carried on?  What if world leaders openly ignore the little man in the White House, and even like China, produce SNL type skits ridiculing him?   What if national security is at risk because other nations don’t know where America really stands on anything? How can that be changed before the next Presidential election? No problem, the Constitution has a mechanism for that, it is called the 25^th Amendment (Presidential Disability and Succession).

Let’s say the appropriate officials meet, exercise the succession apparatus procedure, and without violence or bloodshed, his successor, Kamal Harris, takes over.  Worked like a charm just as the Constitution provided! One problem, however, the successor is sane but incompetent.  President Hackles laughs all the way through the swearing in ceremony and in her acceptance, speech has difficulty reading from her prepared statement.  Laughing at her mistakes and mispronunciations she plows through, stops, and gives a cliched fist pump at the end of her speech to a muted response from a small somber crowd.

Unlike her predecessor she is sane, on the other hand, like her predecessor she is also incompetent and clueless. When asked about Ukraine, she responded by inadvertently referring to it as “Bahrain” announcing she just got off the phone with President Gronkowski. When asked about inflation she answered prices going up was good for business profits, and she would talk to Fed Chairman Powell to see if he could add more inflation at his next FMOC (Federal Open Market Committee) meeting.  She then thanks the press and walks off the stage chuckling how easy it all was. She was unable to string more than two sentences together at a time.

Paralyzed in horror, the press corps murmurs among themselves that the America needs to get rid of her NOW. But what would the woke crowd say about removing the first woman Vice President (and slightly tanned) and now the first woman President someone said?  Others said, they will just handle her like they did Joe.  Still others said Kamala would not stand for such oppression. Disgusted and irritated they finally agreed that she must go by using the same Constitutional provision used to remove old Joe. Breathing a sigh of relief, they began working out plans to manipulate the Legislature into removing her.  Then a shudder comes over them as they realize who was next in line for succession, Nancy Pelosi. Someone said, “Can we bring Joe back”?

Moral of the story, be careful what you wish for.
