Patriotman currently ekes out a survivalist lifestyle in a suburban northeastern state as best as he can. He has varied experience in political science, public policy, biological sciences, and higher education. I’m pretty sure the fallout from this incident was the catalyst that ultimately became the .40 S&W round.
The FBI put out a bid for a new round after they belatedly realized they were outgunned. They got the 10mm which ended being a little too hot for some of their agents, and I think (correct me if I’m wrong) a Smith and Wesson large frame semi-auto pistol. They powered the 10mm down. 10mm shortened is the .40.
