Redistribution of Wealth and The Men North of Richmond, by Scipio

Republicans say they are against wealth redistribution but they only differ from the Democrats in who gets the redistribution. Democrats say they are for redistribution of wealth and make no bones about it. Both parties love to spend taxpayer’s money, even if it means going further and further into debt. They only differ on what to spend it on.  The American taxpayer is a sitting duck for having their wealth redistributed by both major political parties for their own pet projects.

Democrat Style Redistribution

Democrats want to redistribute wealth to the “marginalized”, the “poor”, the “children”, to “saving the planet”, “reparations”, “social justice”, and other “disparities”.  When these Democrat’s “public service” is over, they are given cushy well-paid jobs in “think tanks” or high-ranking appointments in US Government agencies where they are at least paid what a GS-15 Step 10 would be paid, $152,771 as of 2023. https://www.federalpay.org/gs/2023  Or you can get a speech gig like Obama did that paid him $500,000 for just one speech.  President Clinton’s former Secretary of HHS, Donna Shalala became president the University of Miami for fourteen years until a “diversity” hire replaced her.  Don’t worry, she moved over to the University’s Board of Trustees where she still gets paid handsomely.

Any ex-general willing to carry the Pentagon’s water is guaranteed paid appearances on TV.  Fox’s General Jack Keene has no problem sounding like he doesn’t know jack squat about the Ukrainian war as long as he is paid. Incidentally, Keene is head of ISW (Institute for the Study of War), a propaganda wing of the CIA.  https://www.armstrongeconomics.com/world-news/war/beware-of-isw/

Republican Style Redistribution

Meanwhile, Republicans want to redistribute wealth to military contractors of the top companies in the Military Industrial Complex.  Corporations like; Raytheon, General Dynamics, Northrop Grumman, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, BAE, General Dynamics, Pfizer (surprise!), HII Inc., Humana (surprise again!), L3Harris Technologies, and indirectly to their hundreds of thousands of (voters), I mean well-paid employees, many of whom are Republicans BTW. Today, during a time of peace and force-multiplying technology, the military has one general for every 1,600 troops. At the height of World War II there were one general for every 6,000 troops. There is something fishy about that stat. It looks like we have too many chiefs and not enough Indians to me.

These “patriots” must continue their high salaries, so when they retire, they often get a high paying job with one of the companies mentioned above.  Michael Chertoff (sounds similar to “jerk off”), President Bush’s second head of the DHS, and co-author of the Patriot Act, consults for SCOTUS.  He was unable to discover who leaked the famous Dodd abortion decision.  He was paid $1 million dollars and could not find the guilty party among approximately forty-five persons of interest who could have possibly made the leak. Meanwhile, knowledgeable military veterans who speak the truth like Lieutenant General Thomas McInerney, Colonel MacGregor, and Sott Ritter have seen their opinions not welcome on the Republican Party News Network, (aka) Fox News.  These genuine patriots have to fend for themselves.

If The Shoe Fits, Wear It

Same shoe, different foot; one Democrat the other Republican. Oliver Anthony knows that it’s the “Rich Men North of Richmond” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3tQ5Pz0fUI not just one group of rich men north of Richmond but ALL the rich men north of Richmond that’s the problem.
