One-Third of Democrats Say Americans Have Too Much Freedom

RealClear Opinion Research conducted a study to see if censorship is a partisan issue in America. What they found was astounding as a portion of the population is begging for government to take over and replace our pretend democracy with something more akin to communism or fascism. Almost one-third (34%) of Democratic voters believe that Americans have “too much freedom.”

That’s right – the land of the free is too free for some. About half (46%) of Republicans believe Americans have too little freedom, with 22% of Democrats agreeing. The aftermath of COVID has changed the landscape for what people find acceptable, and questioning the narrative – be it the science or new societal norms – are not tolerable to some. Independent voters (61%) and Republicans (74%) believe free speech should be protected under any circumstance as outlined in the First Amendment. Yet, the Democrats are divided on 1A as 47% believe there should be some censorship.

Three-fourths of Democrats want hateful speech censored, but we have seen what the government considers “hateful” amounts to anything that goes against the status quo. For example, protesters can burn down cities shouting that white people are slavers who should die and that is perfectly fine for the MSM. But if you question why schools are indoctrinating children with sexual messages and drag shows, you are considered hateful and intolerant. Why should the government and MSM decide what is just and right?

Counter-culture was once the leftist hippies who opposed the Vietnam War. They did not trust the government or authority and were seen as extremists. Today, the extremists are those on the right who oppose war and question the government. If only the Founding Fathers knew how the politicians today would twist the Constitution to fit their rhetoric.

I saw this firsthand during the COVID lockdowns. The largest opposition group in America, the Conservative movement… which is a very, very broad brush… thinks that they are just ignornant, stupid, incompetent… no… this incorrect. The people are are against want Soviet style control and a highly controlled Soviet style of life. They are on one planet and we are on another. You have no real idea what you’re up against because well… both sides are very much in bubbles to a point. They think once we’re out of the way they will get an easy life of little to no work and that everything would just be better, if we all got in line and obeyed. Our side thinks that if we just say a prayer for them that they can be reformed and that our possession of guns is a talisman that keeps them away. These people, the liberals and left, fetishize about us getting hit with airstrikes. I’m dead serious.

You aren’t negotiating with these people, or reasoning with them, or offering them a drink. They want you and I dead or in prison. They want us on the reservation at a minimum, or the gulag at worst.

I’ll give you an example of their train of thought. There wouldn’t be all this crime in cities if people would just be disarmed. Yes, that’s how they think. If everyone has their weapons seized then it’ll be orderly like the GUM department store in 1970’s Russia. Sure, they’ll keep their gun, hide it or whatever… lol… but it’s Conservatives and their fetish for rifles and guns for all that’s causing this… THAT… is their mindset. Just as an example.

Stop treating them as human beings. I’m serious. They left our species a while ago. They stopped viewing us as human beings around 2017 or so.

Years ago, my wife (Armenian from Russia) said the same thing – that we have too much freedom.

When she saw how surprised I was, she clarified: “You have so much that you will waste it… You will loose it without realizing how much you had.”

The Uni-Party keeps taking this country in the direction they are, they’ll find out just how dangerous taking freedoms away actually is. The Left always eats it own at some point.
