BEWARE THE RIPOFFS AND IMITATIONS OF THE GUERRILLA’S GUIDE TO THE BAOFENG RADIO
Folks, I’ve sifting through mountains of emails and many of you are asking about several of the ripoffs and clones of my book that have shown up on Amazon. Success leads to issues all its own apparently. I wrote The Guerrilla’s Guide to the Baofeng Radio for this community. Not the Ham radio fudds, not the airsoft queens who’s gear has never seen dirt, but how to actually communicate in an austere or unconventional warfare environment with the world’s most common radio. It resonated with over 34k copies sold, and so much so that we’ve got a mountain of frauds out there.
Its easy to sit back and tell people to find the genuine one – but they’re not going to do that, the nature of people being what we are – so every once in a while we need a reminder. The imitation books are written by ChatGPT. They’re awful and contain literally nothing of value. Don’t take my word for it, buy your own copy and see. Here, get this one, written by “Cooper Hartman” who’s apparently a shutterstock image model, because that’s where his author’s photo came from:
Aside from the one cat lady who made a video on it, the bulk of the reviews read just as fraudulently as this book. Its a scam that’s been running with the imitations since the beginning.
Folks, the important takeaway is that they’re ripping YOU off. The people who need the information the most. And while Amazon may have ignored the numerous IP infringement complaints taking this to the next step, what we can do is let them know about it in the meantime. They can’t suppress every negative review. And also since its print on demand, it’d be a shame if they had to sit on tons of copies.
Get the real version and find out why they’ve worked as hard as they have to rip it off:
