Denver’s Sanctuary City Designation Brings Venezuelan Prison Gang to Town
When Denver designated itself as a sanctuary city for migrants, it likely didn’t anticipate that its hospitality would result in a Venezuelan prison gang setting up shop in one of its suburbs.
The Denver City government’s choice to tolerate and encourage open borders migration has enabled the violent Tren de Aragua gang from Venezuela to make Aurora, Colorado a base of its operations.
Now the gang has taken over apartment complexes and unleashed a growing wave of violent crime.
Ever heard about the Venezuelan prison gang Tren De Aragua?
Its gang members crossed Kamala Harris’s open border.
Then they were welcomed to Democrat-run Denver.

Despite Denver’s decision to make itself a sanctuary city, residents of Aurora made it clear that they didn’t want to participate in the social experiment.
On a 7-3 vote, the Aurora City Council passed a resolution in February stating that it would not provide support or resources to migrants and others brought into the community from neighboring cities.
Meanwhile, Denver has gone the extra mile to welcome migrants having provided more than $68 million in aid and even reducing its own emergency services in order to provide more funding.
Now the community of Aurora is dealing with increasing gang violence and crime as members of Tren de Aragua are taking control.

They took over apartment buildings, rob stores, shut down streets for protests, and commit violent crime.

This is the same gang that is accused of other violent crimes across the U.S. including the murder of Georgia nursing student Laken Riley earlier this year. The gang has also reportedly given its members permission to shoot American police who interfere with its activities.
Aurora police say that city officials are downplaying the uptick in gang violence for ideological reasons while Democratic leaders in Colorado have pledged swift action against individuals who have placed provocative signs at Denver bus stops linking the illegal migrants to Kamala Harris’s open border policies.
Just about every Democratic leader in Colorado has swiftly spoken out on one of these two stories, promising to enact justice. If you think it’s Venezuelan gang violence, you would be wrong. pic.twitter.com/8P1ToP81fl

It’s interesting that those in power are motivated to take strong action against unpopular opinions but turn a blind eye to actual criminal activity.
