NY Mayor Eric Adams Stuns Tucker Carlson After Revealing the Five-Word Warning Joe Biden Gave Him About the Border Crises Just Before Leaving Office
In a revealing interview with Tucker Carlson at Gracie Mansion, New York City Mayor Eric Adams disclosed that President Joe Biden’s response to his urgent pleas for help with the illegal immigrant crisis was a dismissive “be a good Democrat, Eric.”
The exchange highlights growing tensions between the embattled mayor and his party’s leadership over immigration policy.
Adams, who has been grappling with an unprecedented influx of migrants in America’s largest city, expressed his growing frustration with the Democratic Party’s handling of the immigration crisis.
“The Democratic Party left me and it left working class people,” Adams stated during his 48-minute conversation with Carlson.
The mayor highlighted specific concerns about criminal activity, noting, “We have Venezuelan gang leaders that were coming to the city creating crimes.”
This situation prompted his requests for federal assistance, which he claims were met with the condescending response from Biden.
Daily Mail highlighted that looking ahead, Adams has expressed interest in working with incoming Border Czar Tom Homan, who brings significant experience from his previous roles in Immigration and Customs Enforcement under both Presidents Barack Obama and Trump.
Homan’s aggressive approach includes plans to begin deporting “millions” of migrants immediately following the Jan. 20 inauguration, starting with a crackdown on asylum applications and targeting criminal organizations.
The incoming administration has warned it will withdraw federal funding from states that refuse to comply with mass deportation plans, per the outlet.
Adams sees potential for collaboration, stating he “would love to sit down with the border czar and hear his thoughts on how we’re going to address those who are harming our citizens.”
Despite New York’s sanctuary city status, Adams has taken an increasingly tough stance on immigration enforcement.
He advocates for modifying sanctuary protections to allow cooperation with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) when migrants commit crimes.
“Those who are here committing crimes – robberies, shooting at police officers, raping innocent people – have been a harm to our country,” said Adams, a former NYPD captain.
The mayor defended his position by referencing similar stances taken by previous Democratic leaders.
“Go back and Google Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama – Google what they said about those who commit crimes in our city,” Adams challenged.
His frustration reached a boiling point during the interview when he exclaimed, “Damn it, I’m at the end of the line here!”
Adams faces his own legal challenges, including an indictment on bribery, wire fraud and conspiracy charges.
The case, which includes allegations of accepting improper flight upgrades and gifts from Turkish officials, could result in 20-30 years in prison if convicted.
Trump has indicated he would consider pardoning Adams, stating at Mar-a-Lago, “I think he was treated pretty unfairly,” though he acknowledged not being fully aware of the charges’ extent.
Daily Mail reported that through spokesperson Kayla Mamelak, Adams defended his decision to speak with Carlson: “Mayor Adams does not believe we should be living in silos and speaking into echo chambers.”
“At a time where our country is so divided, the mayor believes we must break out of our comfort zones and speak with everyone – even those we may not always agree with.”
