Mainstream Media Bias On Full Display Following Assassination of Charlie Kirk
Legacy media outlets are drawing fire for their slanted coverage of the murder of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk yesterday at an event on the campus of Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.
Kirk’s assassination in front of a audience of thousands, brought out some of the clearest and most outrageous examples of mainstream media spin and bia to date.
The New York Times played up Kirk’s conservative values while downplaying the political violence of him being shot dead on stage, with the headline “Charlie Kirk, Right-Wing Force and a Close Trump Ally, Dies at 31.”
NYT WHITEWASHES ASSASSINATION OF CHARLIE KIRK
Charlie Kirk didn’t just die – he was shot dead on stage in a targeted political hit.
But The New York Times buries the reality under soft language: “Charlie Kirk… Dies at 31.”

Mario Nawfal, in a post on X, called out the NY Times bias, writing, “This wasn’t a car crash or a health condition – it was a public execution of a high-profile conservative in America.”
Meanwhile, MSNBC’s Matthew Dowd suggested that the shooting may have been the result of “a supporter shooting their gun off in celebration” and then went on to suggest that Kirk may have brought the deadly violence on himself, describing him as “one of the most especially divisive younger figures.”
Dowd went on to claim that Kirk was “constantly pushing this sort of hate speech, sort of aimed at certain groups” and suggested that “hateful thoughts lead to hateful words, which then lead to hateful actions.”
MSNBC’s Matthew Dowd says “We don’t know if this was a supporter shooting their gun off in celebration” … wow
Goes on to say it’s Charlie Kirk’s own fault that he got assassinated.

MSNBC later fired Dowd, with MSNBC President Rebeka Kutler denouncing the political analyst’s comments as “inappropriate, insensitive and unacceptable.”
Kutler added, “We apologize for his statements, as has he. There is no place for violence in America, political or otherwise.”
Entertainment website TMZ also faced criticism over background cheering and applause captured on mic as Kirk’s death was announced.

Anyone who has been wondering whether the legacy media can be trusted to set their biases aside to report the facts, now knows for certain where we stand.
