One day before a deadly D.C. attack on National Guard troops in Washington, D.C., another Afghan parolee was arrested for allegedly making threats to blow up a building in Fort Worth, Texas, the Department of Homeland Security said on Saturday.

“Just one day before the Terrorist attack against our @NationalGuard, another Afghan national who was paroled into the United States under Biden’s Operation Allies Welcome was arrested for threatening to blow up a building in Fort Worth,” DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin posted to X.

“Mohammad Dawood Alokozay posted a video of himself on TikTok indicating he was building a bomb with an intended target of the Fort Worth area. He was arrested on Tuesday by the Texas Department of Public Safety and FBI JTTF and charged with making Terroristic Threats,” she explained.

The announcement of the arrest follows an attack against two National Guard troops in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday. The suspected shooter has been identified as Rahmanullah Lakanwal, an Afghan national welcomed into the country under Operation Allies Welcome.

“The magnitude of the national security crisis Joe Biden unleashed on our country over the span of four years cannot be overstated,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt posted to X. “President Trump has directed his entire team to continue rooting out this evil within our borders.”

In response to the attack, President Donald Trump’s administration halted all asylum applications and visas for Afghan nationals. The president also suggested the government could “permanently pause” all immigration from “third world” countries.
