The “failed air defense” theme/meme might have benefited from an inside job, by members of the Venezuelan military/opposition who are only too happy to be rod of the monster who has endangered, impoverished and oppressed the nation and its people.

If so, and is revealed, it would steal some thunder from the current victory lapping. I pray it not to be so, because this whole exercise is causing a seismic shift in the hubris and aggression of our mortal enemies. Confusion and death to them all!

Venezuela is a third-rate country with a third-rate military. More likely the “failure” of Russian equipment has more to do with poor training of the crews than with any deficiencies with the equipment’s design or capabilites.

Hegseth should shut his piehole. He has apparently forgotten (or ignored) how the Russians turned a bunch of M1 Abrams and German Leopards into burnt scrap.
