FBI Raids Fulton County Elections Hub; Seizes Records Related to 2020 Election
The FBI on Wednesday executed a search warrant at the Fulton County Elections Hub and Operation Center in Union City, Georgia, targeting records related to the 2020 U.S. presidential election, according to multiple reports.
The operation, described as a “court-authorized law enforcement action,” reportedly included the seizure of more than 700 boxes of documents and ballots, as well as possibly computers.
Fulton County officials confirmed the search warrant was served and that it sought “a number of records related to 2020 elections,” and said they were not notified in advance. The investigation appears connected to a December 2025 lawsuit by the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division, which sued Fulton County to obtain election records for compliance with federal election laws.
The lawsuit states that in October, 2025, Attorney General Pam Bondi sent a letter to the Fulton County Board of Registration and Elections, demanding “all records in your possession responsive” to a resolution from the State Election Board in July.
That resolution, according to the lawsuit, requested the attorney general’s assistance to “effect compliance with voting transparency.”
Bondi’s letter demanded “all used and void ballots, stubs of all ballots, signature envelopes and corresponding envelope digital files from the 2020 general election in Fulton County.”
“The FBI is going to do their job and it’s about time that people have answers,” said Salleigh Grubbs, a new member of the state election board. “[The FBI] didn’t enumerate what they were looking for. I could only imagine it would have something to do with the subpoenas that have been issued previously.”
An FBI spokesperson said about 25 FBI agents conducted the search and seized an unspecified number documents at the location.
American Greatness reported heavily on the 2020 election irregularities in Georgia, including a voter integrity group’s finding that Fulton County’s results were “riddled with massive errors and provable fraud,” with a stunning 60 percent error rate.
President Trump and his allies attempted to prove election fraud in Fulton County following the election, an effort that was criminalized by Democrats, with Fulton County DA Fani Willis filing racketeering charges against them.
That lawfare case was dismissed in November 2025 following an “appearance of impropriety” involving Willis and special prosecutor Nathan Wade.
The FBI raid follows a stunning admission by Fulton County election officials in December that they failed to properly sign tabulator tapes after the 2020 election, as required by state regulations.
The county also acknowledged last month that it had misplaced other tabulator tapes and other documents critical for vote verification.
Joe Biden “won” the red state of Georgia in the 2020 presidential election by a narrow margin of 11,779 votes, receiving 49.47 percent of the vote compared to Trump’s 49.24 percent.
Updates on the raid are expected later from Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, who is scheduled to address the media at around 6 p.m. Wednesday, as well as Deputy FBI Director Andrew Bailey.
