Why do you think he is alive JP? I can only assume that if he is it is because they are not done extracting information from him yet.

My view of the situation overall is that the reaction so far is consistent with a measured response from the cartels to make a point of their displeasure and demonstrate their capacity to inflict damage if the status quo is not restored. As criminal enterprise operations, they are most concerned about business, overall and about leadership succession in the short term. They really do not need an open war with the Americans if it can be avoided. All of those American tourists and the resorts they are huddled in are soft enough targets if they wanted to hit them, they have not I suspect this could go on for a week and then quiet down, that would be the smart play if you were them. They can simply bide their time and wait for the end of the Trump years and the likely return of less aggressive leadership in Washington.

As you mentioned, I think they are extracting information from him. I honestly don’t even believe he was shot.

“Died on the helicopter” sounds suspiciously like nonsense.

El Mencho was a very serious person though. So there is a good chance during the commotion he was blasted. The Mexico military doesn’t fire a couple shots. Or controlled pairs.

You can see from the shot group patterns on the vehicles that they fire ALOT of bullets in rapid succession.

The guy was either shredded, or, likely gassed with sleep gas before the raid.

A drone can easily deliver sleeping gas or Ferret Gas.

Also, the new CS gasses that the police and others use are WAY worse than the stuff we used when I was in.

The new gas rounds are wild. You aren’t fighting through that stuff. Even if you take a lot of meth, you are gonna be in VERY BAD shape.

Also, Trump has foreshadowed a third term multiple times.

      That’s almost forgone conclusion.

Suspended elections because of two wars on our border is a distinct possibility.

The second war being in Canada.
A lot of drugs come from Canada too. A lot of pot, coke, heroin, and extasy comes over the northern border.

It’s also possible that Columbian and Venezuelan gangs team up against us.

Iran was HEAVILY invested in the cartels. I see a lot of Iranian Coke and heroin dealers.

In fact that’s where I think they got their heavy hardware. That and it was stolen. I’d even bet money the Chinese weapons in Mexico came from Iranians.

China is a bunch of jerks. But openly selling weapons in Mexico to the cartels puts them on a different kinda list.

Referencing the election a last time, I don’t think Trump and Hegseth are gonna spend 4 years wasting all this time and money to have it reversed by a fake election with a Kamala/AOC ticket.

Plus, Trump could also release evidence that our elections are rigged and unreliable a year before the election.

This would not leave enough time to get a new system in order.

And the Dems have had a triple term.

      Why not the Republicans?

Well, I will go this far with you, The whole immigration/drug smuggling/corruption problem emanating from Mexico and points south has to be dealt with decisively at some point if we are to survive as a nation. This President seems to be the first one willing to even discuss it and take limited action. If they are foolish enough to give him a bigger opening for action now, Then Trump is certainly the man to take them up on it.
I do worry about the lack of arrests on this side of the border for the big player traitors, the lack of a serious takedown of ANTIFA after the terrorist organization declaration, and the lack of resolve in following through in Minnesota in the face of insurrection level resistance. That does not bode well for any future operations in kind in places like California. The illegal invader population here are as much of a cartel asset as is the drug distribution network. They will either be uprooted or it will be the end of us, and that in itself will require force in Mexico. I just assume the smart play for us is to take down everything we can on this side of the border first since that should be the easy part.
