Another way to look at it is that this distracts nuclear Pakistan from any notion of backing up Iran in a confrontation with US/Israel. Pakistan made some such noises in the recent past despite their denominational and other differences with Iran. At the time, those threats were directed at Israel alone in response to Israeli action against Yemen, Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria and the threat of same against Iran. The US having since hit Iran itself and is now being the primary antagonist may have changed their calculus anyway, but being militarily distracted on the eve of expected action in Iran seems a little too convenient.
I have no feelings on this matter.
Literally.
I feel nothing.
Absolutely could not care.
What’s funnier is that everyone knows both sides will quit and pretend to be best friends in a week.
One casualty on each side.
