Many of us got involved because Charlie inspired us. Charlie Kirk lit a fire under people who were tired of watching Texas slip away. We stepped up. We worked. We sacrificed. We believed we were part of something that actually cared about the grassroots.
So when @tylerbowyer
from @TPUSA
took one million dollars from Dan Patrick and then endorsed him and Abbott and the very people undermining this state, it felt wrong. When he claimed Doc @DocPeteChambers
never reached out, that was not true. When Doc’s team did reach out, they were told he could talk but could not campaign because they are a 501c3. Yet somehow that rule disappeared when it came to endorsing the candidates who funded them.
That hypocrisy is bad enough.
But what makes this hit differently is the deception and the way Tyler has responded. The dismissiveness. The insults toward grassroots activists who have been grinding day after day to protect Texas. Watching that unfold feels like reopening a wound.
Charlie inspired a movement. We poured our time, energy, and hearts into it. Seeing it reduced to political transactions and watching someone act smug while lying to our faces feels like losing something all over again.
I do not get rattled easily. I usually brush off arrogant and ignorant remarks. But this one hit hard. Because this was not just politics. This was something we believed in. And watching it be treated like a cash exchange instead of a cause is devastating.
