Stabbing suspect on DC beltway attack was killed by state trooper, incident not terror related

The suspect in a road-rage stabbing this past week outside Washington, D.C., on I-495, was killed in the incident, according tp a news report Monday.

On Sunday, Virginia State Police responded to reports of a road-rage incident at 1:17 p.m. on southbound I-495, WDCW reported.

Troopers found four people suffering from stab wounds, including 39-year-old Michelle Adams, who later died from her injuries. A dog was also killed in the stabbing.

Authorities said that the stabbings are not believed to be related to terrorism.

Police said that the stabbing suspect, Jared Llamado, 32, of McLean, Va., confronted troopers while armed with a knife, and a trooper shot him in self-defense, resulting in Llamado dying at the scene.

The trooper was not hurt during the encounter, and an initial investigation indicated that the stabbing occurred after a crash, according to police.
