Why Anarchism Fails

Anarchism failed because it was extremely efficient at assassinating heads of government all across Europe, but extremely inefficient at doing anything else.

Anarchism wanted to abolish power while the Communists eventually learned how to seize it and wield it. And over time, selective pressures meant the type of men capable of action who would have previously been Anarchists in the 1880s and 90s were instead Communists in the 1920s and 30s.

The ideology itself was eventually outmaneuvered by Communism in the same way that Libertarianism has been largely outmaneuvered by Right-wing Populism.

The ideology itself was inherently anti-political, and all anti-political ideologies eventually burn themselves out because they lack the ability to answer essential questions like Who are we? What do we believe in? Who rules? And what vision will prevail?
