• The U.S.-Iran war kept escalating with a sixth straight night of strikes on multiple Iranian cities and bases, while Tehran replied with missiles and drones and raised the toll to 14 dead and 78 wounded. Iran also reported damage in Omidiyeh, the Bushehr plant, Khondab and a garrison in Bampur where seven Iranian troops were killed, and CENTCOM said this round of strikes had ended after hitting military infrastructure, air defenses, coastal surveillance, naval assets and missile and drone storage sites.

• Traffic through the Strait of Hormuz was badly disrupted, and Tehran said the waterway would stay closed until the U.S. military intervention ends. The UAE reported hits on the tankers Mombasa and Bahia in Omani waters, leaving one dead and eight injured; Jordan confirmed three missiles landed without casualties, Kuwait said a navy vessel, border posts and civilian infrastructure were hit, Qatar temporarily suspended navigation, and Jordanian authorities evacuated Aqaba’s airport and seaport over a credible threat.

• CENTCOM said Iran attacked at least three commercial vessels in the past 24 hours and seven over the past week, while MarineTraffic logged 21 confirmed transits through Hormuz and 56 recorded incidents, with 17 seafarers dead. More than 200 non-Iranian ships also sought passage permits and insurance, 79% of which were approved, and the United States prepared a new naval blockade of Iranian ports and coastal areas.

• In Jordan, U.S. Central Command confirmed that two service members were killed and one remains missing after Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base, and the Wall Street Journal said several U.S. manned and unmanned aircraft were damaged. Iran also released images of an MQ9 drone shot down over Asaluyeh and launched numerous drones against U.S. targets in Kuwait, including ammunition depots and radar stations.

• On the diplomatic and political front, Donald Trump attacked Spain at the NATO summit, said the ceasefire with Iran was over and suggested a “big” strike on Tehran, while Pedro Sánchez later described their conversation as cordial and focused on football. Trump also called for Iran to be included in the new sanctions bill against Russia, and Marco Rubio met Lebanese President Joseph Aoun to discuss implementing the Trilateral Framework and disarming Hezbollah.
