France ‘Descending into ‘Anarchy’ as Riot Police Battle Far-Left/Islamist Agitators in the Streets

Hard-left, Islamist protests that erupted in late September in the Paris suburbs have spread to “dozens and dozens” of cities across France and have escalated into violent riots involving arson, attacks on police, and blockades.

Demonstrators from large immigrant communities purportedly gathered initially to protest education conditions, including teacher shortages, overcrowded classrooms, and dilapidated school infrastructure,  i24 News reported. The protests quickly devolved into riots and violent clashes with police.

In Paris, a group chased a female police officer, knocked her to the ground and struck her during a high school demonstration Thursday. Footage captured shouts of “kill her.” Prosecutors opened an investigation. Nuñez said 305 police officers and gendarmes were injured during Thursday’s unrest.

A school was set ablaze in Nantes, while another suffered fire damage in Le Havre. In Pantin, protesters burned barricades and threw firecrackers at riot police. A youth sprayed gasoline at a teacher in La Ciotat, near Marseille, according to the regional education authority.

The riots have reportedly resulted in 78 education staff and 305 police officers injured, with 24 schools burned or ransacked. Authorities have closed up to 500 high schools due to safety concerns.

Authorities have arrested approximately 5,000 people since the unrest began, with officials accusing hard-left political groups of orchestrating the violence.

The unrest appeared to intensify Tuesday, with more than 250,000 agitators rioting across 40+ cities across France.

In a post on Truth Social, President Donald Trump blamed “out of control mass migration” for the ongoing crisis.

“What’s happening in France is nothing less than out of control mass migration,” Trump stated. “This isn’t about schools, this is about Islam wanting to take over a once great Country!”

Foreign policy analyst Niall Gardiner said on Fox news Tuesday that French authorities are “losing control of the country,” and that the military needs to be deployed.

“This is not about schools and education,” he said. “This is about overthrowing, frankly, the foundations of Western civilization.”

Gardiner, a former aide to legendary Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, said there was “no doubt” pro-Palestinian and pro-Hamas movements were actively involved in the riots.

“You are seeing the Palestinian flag being waved all over France right now,” Gardiner told Fox News’ Harris Faulkner on Tuesday. Calling the violent unrest “a nightmare vision of Europe’s future as a whole,” Gardiner also warned that such an insurrection  could rattle the United States in the future as well “if the Socialists and far-left Islamists gain power.”

“This is a combination of the Islamists, together with the communists, the socialists, the far-left that are joining forces, and this is an outright uprising and insurrection basically is what it is that we are witnessing in France,” he said. “The stakes are incredibly high for the French people and this is a warning for the United States, as well.”

“The future of Western civilization really is at stake at this time and because of the disastrous policies of left-wing governments across Europe over the last couple of decades, we are seeing scenes like this unfolding in France,” Gardiner said. “This is a country descending into a state of anarchy where the police can’t even control the streets of Paris,” he added.
