Less than 24 hours after winning, Governor-elect Amy Klobuchar told reporters the gun bill “is going to get passed” and “certainly should be one of our top priorities.”
She didn’t say it in her speech. She promised to move Minnesota “not to the left or to the right” and spent her prepared remarks on fraud, jobs, housing and health care.
Guns came up only when a reporter asked.
That bill is SF 4067: a rifle ban, a 17-round magazine cap, and mandatory certification of firearms you already own. It passed the Senate by one vote.
The House is now DFL. We need every Minnesota gun owner engaged before January.
