US Forces Train To Seize Airfields In Bulgaria
Interesting training footage from a couple of years ago with the 173rd spearheading the assault and 2ACR reinforcing to occupy:
All military operations are centered around logistics- which in turn means they rely on airfields either for fixed wing or rotary wing operations. Every Combat Outpost, Forward Operating Base (FOB) and Logistics Support Area (LSA) is built around air capabilities. This is very important for the potential guerrilla to understand as well.
How would the guerrilla approach this problem? How does this differ from the mission of conventional forces?

I wounder how serious the after action was regarding the US soldier stripping the mag but not clearing the chamber of the dead enemy on to of the revetment at the end of the clip?
It is a good idea to have cross platform familiarization.
They actually might have been briefed to not do that. In a lot of force on force exercises, NTC and JRTC, etc, the OCs get antsy about weapons handling when doing EPW & EKIA searches. Real life though would be a whole different story.
EPIC! Reminds me of my paratrooper days.
