Waterproof covers make to much noise, I’ll stick with Military issue, but I will check out his gear anyway. Thanks for the heads up

Bought one years ago in A-TACS, still use it on one specific pack.
Made one from an old umbrella ( with commercial print on it and all ) to pull over my too-tactical-looking bag I use in built-up areas. It makes the pack look like any run-of-the-mill-EDC-commuter bag, but when need arises, I take it of, and presto…camo bag. You could make one out of an old repro Zeltbahn – that way you’ll have a dual camo option… .

I was one of the only numb-skulls rocking a “large” alice pack in the late 80’s early 90’s in my engineer batt. (comfort items and 2 ea, 20-foot plastic tubes of bourbon required the extra room)
I had the woodland cover from Sportsman’s Guide for my pack when we loaded for Costa Rica, Honduras, and Panama… I threw my ruck on the pallet, watched it get wrapped…. When we pulled them out of the conex… sonofabitch!!!… the cover was gone! My Jack was still inside though… An important lesson was learned (again)
