Have you used a chest wadder (more commonly used for fishing/duck hunting) for a rapid response clothing item?
The thought process behind is getting one that is insulated, breathable, water/snow resistant while still being strong enough to beat bush instead of ripping the materials.
A similar setup for dry summer would be regular grey coveralls.
