I’m sure the administration’s reply will be that they seek peace and cooperation with China not competition.

I don’t watch Chinese propaganda all that often so I’m not sure of the baseline tough talk. This seems like a statement of intent more than it does shit talk.

After the last three books we read, this is fairly standard talk for the Hawks. Hawk is Chinese slang for polite politician warlord type the Doves are those who falsely hold olive branches of peace; They are typically backhanded and deceptive. More likely to steal than stab.

However, there was a shift in 2017 in Chinese Rhetoric. They now have initiated a form of “Wolf Warrior Diplomacy”. This is now par for the course.

One of the books we read was from 2015 and made up the bulk of the reading that referenced the difference between Chinese Hawks and Doves.

The book is called “The 100 Year Marathon: By Michael Pillsbury”

The west was hi-jacked by pirate families a long time ago. That epoch is going into receivership now. Good riddance, the only question now is can we carve out a viable area in the brave new world. Russia is one example.

China is just as fragile as we are. Half a billion young men can be an asset or a curse depending on what they are doing in their spare time. A couple of cyber attacks on the power grid changes the game, for either side.
Let’s play the ‘what if’ game. What happens if we stop being the world cop? Will Europe step up? I doubt it. Would that change cause things to fracture or put another way, cause certain countries to form up different mutually beneficial agreements? Probably a combination.
China has not been shy about voicing their intents and objectives. Will the rest of the world stand against them?

Mao Zedong dreamed of crushing America. J.R. Nyquist made the case that the Soviet-Sino split was a ruse designed to get the U.S. to help China, and it has worked.

Back in the early 1990’s, people first became aware that American businesses were being sent to China, most people only considered the job loss issue. Resident Bill Clinton signed off on the transfer of advanced avionics and missile guidance technologies, among other things to China. China has had a great success in intellectual theft, industrial and scientific espionage. Most Americans do comprehend the gravity of these things.

While the CCP has not openly declared war on the U.S., yet, many high level officials have openly stated, for almost 20 years now, that one day they would overtake, and/or go to war with the U.S. A conventional war with China would be bad enough, but the U.S. has been provoking Russia for so long, that Russia will naturally ally with China; even if such a conflict remained conventional, it will be hard to win.

But, the real threat are those in the U.S., who appear to have aligned themselves with China. I’d wager NC Scout is correct when he said we are being set up. If one has not been following such developments for a while it would be easy to dismiss many of the seemingly unconnected “coincidences”. China has been patiently building up for this moment; they want “The Chinese Century”.
