Re his #3 point, that of domestic industry going offshore: we have three Stanley thermoses in this house, a 2-quart and two 1-quarts. Mfg info is stamped on the bottom.

The 2-quart was made in Tennessee in ’89. The 1-quarts were made in China, ’08 and ’13.

Something got sent overseas with the Stanley company. Buchanan has been right about much for a long time. And Ross Perot also did nail that problem IMO. For those who recall, Perot got pretty close to 20% of the popular vote when he ran against H W Bush, and thereby sunk Bush v Clinton.
