Germany Says “No” To Russia And Nordstream-2 in Defense Of Ukraine

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said last week that Germany may consider halting the Nord Stream 2 pipeline if Russia attacks Ukraine, reflecting growing political pressure on the Gazprom-led project.

Russia has massed troops on the Ukrainian border but denies it is planning an attack, while the United States and Europe have promised to impose sanctions on Moscow should it invade, with Nord Stream 2 one of the possible targets.

Europe’s most divisive energy project, Nord Stream 2 is designed to double the amount of gas flowing from Russia straight to Germany, bypassing traditional transit nation Ukraine.

Question for the real thinkers and analysts…

What also began to occur in November of last year?

        Not wrong.
        But more international in nature.

November last year, many things seemingly important related / unrelated events occurred. Zelensky started talking about Russia having 100,000 troops on his border, and continuing to build up, US warned of possible incursion. US put some kind of sanctions on Russia over Nord Stream 2. Tensions between Germany and Russia increased over several issues. Also EU-wise, the Belarus – Poland border invader issue started getting notice. China warned Taiwan not to declare independence, and the US not to encourage it, and China stepped up their airspace probes. Just parts of the Grand Chessboard…

As for Germany, even if they did’nt need Russian gas, they are unlikely to want to fight the Russians again.

      Correct on many counts.

    What a CROCK!

I’m a simple person. Simply asking: “Where do you GERMANS plan to get BTUs to heat your homes?”

Yoiu’ve shut down your clean nuke plants; windmills/ HA! Solar–in a German Winter? Please! Coal–sehr dirty, nicht wahr?

Believe me–when it’s -20*F outside with a howling blizzard and your furnace or boiler or fireplace does not work, you’ll get BTUs from Satan himself if he offers it. Get real folks–Mother Nature and Reality can be a bitch.

Politicians and desk-bound bureaucrats jockeying for position…watercarriers for WEF or globohomos. Wait until some irate Bavarian farmer with a pitchfork at your throat wants to debate you as his wife and kinder are freezing to death.

    “Dem Deutschen Volke”…my arse….

Just so you know, a simple google search will reveal that the Nordstream-2 pipe has NOT delivered a single pound of gas…

So what exactly is your hypothetical scenario? Because they said no and the Nordstream-2 is on halt.

      • Centurion_Cornelius January 27, 2022 at 11:27

Yessir! Nordstream-2 is on halt. Sorry–I cannot deal in scenarios or “what-ifs.” All I know is people need to survive and stay warm in European Winters. That’s all.
