Jack Lawson Sends: New York City Fire Department Paramedic wakes up in Florida a FREE MAN…

This man wanted me to post his letter of resignation on our website after I encouraged him to leave the insanity of where he was living over a year ago. He emailed me while the movers were loading the last of their possessions for the trip to Florida… asking me to post and distribute this. I have made some portions bold on my decision. He had bought the Civil Defense Manual back then and that, along with his feelings that his life was too regulated and confined in New York City, caused him and his wife to decide to resign from their jobs and move to a FREE STATE.

He is one of the bravest of New York City’s Finest. He had the courage to make the decision to move. He has his mental logic circuits still intact… same so for his wife.

He is now settled in Florida with his wife. I got an email from him about how excited he and his wife are basking in the liberties of purchasing their first pistols in Florida without the heavy-handed opposition and bureaucracy of New York City, Borough and State regulations. He is feeling liberties that he had only read about.

FREEDOM !!!

Dear ********:

It is with a heavy heart that I submit my resignation.  As I am writing this letter, I am sitting here in stunned disbelief that my career of 18 years would end in any way other than with the hope, optimism and enthusiasm with which it began.

I began to reflect on my career and the many contributions that I have made to this department, reviewing more than a decade’s worth of consecutive outstanding reviews, numerous saves and citations and The Daily News hero of the month award.

Those accolades, though noteworthy do not tell the story for me.  In my view, helping those who were unable to help themselves to possibly effect a better outcome is what made “the job” worthwhile. Though that kind of effort often goes without acknowledgment or recognition, I can rest easy in the knowledge that I gave every ounce of care, compassion and concern that I could muster to every single one of my patients. Every single time.

It certainly was never for the compensation (however paltry that may have been) or the recognition and respect from EMS “leadership” (I could write volumes on that subject-lest I digress).

I am incredulous at the thought that because I do not consent to an unproven medical therapy I am no longer needed or wanted by the very same organization I once held in such high regard.

We are taught to be patient advocates, to do the best for our patients the best way we can while we respect their autonomy and decisions-even if we disagree or think we may know better.  It is with this very same thought in mind that I have come to understand the source of my anxiety, frustration and absolute depression since the vaccine mandate.

I sincerely believe that the vaccine is not good for me and I have strong, sincere religious convictions about not being forced to take it. I would fully expect the FDNY “leadership” to adhere to their own rigorous and expressed concerns for medical autonomy of their members. Just the same as they would expect and demand their members to when dealing with the public.

Forcing members to partake in medical treatment without regard to their concerns is the height of hypocrisy, informed CONSENT is the most important part of ANY medical procedure.

Ensuring compliance by threatening one’s career can in no way be rationally viewed as consent.  Any logical person with even a scant understanding of the Nuremberg trials would not need to be reminded of this.

I am relatively certain that this letter will be mocked and ridiculed as the musings of a “flat earther” or someone who is “disgruntled”.  I have struggled to understand why people in positions of authority in EMS and the administration would not want to know where we are lacking as a service.  Only focusing on the positive ensures that we can never improve as a service.

I have come to expect a certain level of disdain, derision and scorn from executive and uniformed officers when they are exposed to opinions counter to their own. It seems as if that is the preferred course of management. I am perfectly at peace in the knowledge that I am doing what is right. I am equally certain that the department’s actions are not.   All truth comes to light with time.

Resignation is certainly not my preferred course of action.  I would obviously prefer to remain a member of a department that I once held in such high regard. However, I simply can no longer endure the stress, depression and anxiety of “waiting for the other shoe to drop”. The time when I am told that I am no longer a member of the FDNY because I will not consent to some sort of medical treatment. To say that I harbor resentment caused by the department’s rank hypocrisy and outright disregard would be the greatest of understatements.

My last day will be *****

Sincerely,

(Surname withheld on my decision for privacy)

Last email from him… “Greetings from the free state of Florida! Loving the way of life here. Filed for my CCW this morning. Just got back from first purchase. G19 gen 5 and S&W bodyguard 380 for the woman.  I hope all is well with you.”

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Freeman. I hope you enjoy your new life on the great state of Florida. My wife and I moved here as well to live in a free state without the heavy hand of overreaching government. We moved from the Republican stronghold of Indiana lead by the spineless and coward Republican governor Eric Holcomb. How great it is to be free of cowards who seek to protect you into submission.

Welcome Home, fmr NYC’s “Finest.” You are now in a FREE STATE and will shine there like all the rest.

As Rick-above has stated, he moved from a so-called “Republican” stronghold in IN, to FL.

Many of us here in the Midwest are contemplating the same thing: having lived in a ‘conservative” Republican area for decades, we are finally realizing what spineless COWARDS the Rs are.

My own Congress-Critter, a RINO, sits on his duff every 20 months in DC and then meekly sends out a weak-kneed email survey now that NOV is on the horizon. He wants my “support.” Get real! Not a peep–not a word from his lips as America is being destroyed. He can go straight to blazes–and that’s where his beloved PENSION and bennies will wind up as well.

I live in Florida. My advice to all who come is that our way of life here is pretty damn good, but don’t trust the Republicans here. All pro-gun bills in our legislature die in committee, as the Republicans will it. Once a big disaster takes place, like the Parkland shooting, they bend over backwards to ram an anti-gun bill through as fast as possible. That’s why our age of ownership for guns is now 21.

Keep any eye on the Republicans here. They’re no good at all.

Reading this mans feelings regarding his department remind me of something my FTO told me years ago. “you may love this department but know that this department doesnt love you. You are an expendable asset”. Always have an exit strategy.

    Welcome – Bienvenidos…

My Dad, once we arrived here from a flocked up place a little over
ninety miles away got my first .22 Bolt Rifle.

On another note, a question to Mr Lawson. I think I remember you
from back in the late 90’s early 2000’s. If so, we shared email communications
with friends now passed away from Ringold Georgia.

I appreciate their move, but this is the plan. Rid the port city/states of patriots and kettle them in smaller pockets. Gaining real estate that was in many cases generational along with the loan/fee churn for the bonus shot.

Florida is one phony election away from being like NY. Where will men go then? I am happy for this man and his wife, but ashamed of what we have become. I don’t recognize my country anymore. What is coming for all of us is going to be very painful and there is nowhere on Earth you can go to avoid it.

      My thoughts as well.

Congratulations!!!! It’s just a matter of time before the shades are pulled away, those that see the light will leave the “unverifiable swamp” . Only the blind will be left to wallow…

Boss21, you make a very valid point. At some point tho. Those that’s left will succumb to their own plot…

I am certain I know this man as he frequented my coin shop often. I’d like to share a story of who this man is. Obv to be any type of first responder goes without say, “we bow down In awe
To every single one of you”. Two older women were in my store selling me coins. One had issues standing / very wobbly. They were maybe 80-90yrs old. This is my store so I’m the one who is always making sure all is well. We have 3 chars for customers. 2 wicker type, about 4ishFt high and 1 bar stool. Without hesitation, or any prior knowledge, he comes out and says, “I want to move you to this other chair. It’s safer for you. May I please assist you?” This is the epitome of everything that was ever good in our country and the state of NY. I’ll close with this. Throw your political beliefs out the window (full disclosure I got the one J&J in April
2021 and that’s all). This man’s life was built on human companion and pure selflessness. I’m certain this is him bc we spoke about the purchasing of firearms (I lived in Florida for 13yrs). The state of NY is 100% worse
Off without him. I mean this. He is the type of person you strive to be. Selfishly I’m pissed he moved. We didn’t have any relationship outside my store but I kinda wish we had other than text etc. I hope one day soon he comes back. But he won’t. He shouldn’t. Shame on the state of NY. And the mandates. Miss ya D.F!
