My understanding is that her father is Harvard educated computer scientist that is a professor at UCLA researching artificial intelligence and the like. Could be that he got his little girl an undeserved spot on the Olympic team in exchange for whatever services he had been rendering to the CCP (this doesn’t take much imagination).
