Biden Admin Reverses Trump Fuel Efficiency Rules, New Vehicles Must Average 49 Miles per Gallon by 2026

It looks like they’re twisting the knife a little more on vehicle availability and cost. We all know this is just furthering the efforts to control our ability to travel freely.

The Biden administration announced on April 1 it is raising requirements for fuel efficiency, reversing a rollback by the Trump administration.

New vehicles sold in the United States will have to travel an average of at least 49 miles per gallon of gasoline in 2026 under the new federal rules. The requirement would have been at 32 mpg if going by rules under the Trump administration.

Specifically, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said fuel efficiency requirements will increase by 8 percent annually for 2024 and 2025 model years, and 10 percent annually for model year 2026.

Going to ramrod those EV’s down your throat. Try and tow something with that electric F150 or Silverado, meanwhile Lithium quadrupling in cost in the last year’s time.

Yep, that estimate of ~$1080 price increase for a car that meets standards is laughable. The batteries alone are going to drive the price WAY up.

How are we supposed to pull our work, hunting and/or horse trailers with a Prius?

That’s part of their objective. Also restricting our movement and pushing people into urban settings, i.e. Agenda 21/Agenda 2030

So…we look more like Europe, in apartment flats only, leaving SFH’s to Blackrock?

If the power elite have their way, yes

In the new system, what makes you think they will allow you to even own the EV? If they have their way you’ll ride share. There was an article from back in 2016 that talked about this.

These “people” hate us, and we need to recognize that fact.

That’s why they are doing everything they can to make personal vehicles unavailable and unaffordable, without all out banning them (in most places)

That’s likely the ultimate goal. I’ve read several articles of people talking about a fleet concept of autonomous vehicles that come get you and drop you off while the vehicle goes back to an automatic robotic recharging station.

That assumes they will let you go where you want to.

Oh I’m sure of that…that is what a social credit score will be for.
