That is a very cool DIY project. Thank you for filming how you built it and the logic of why its built that way.
Very similar (but NOT DIY using materials in place) is using steel unistrut as your frame which can be bolted together quickly. More unistrut members would also allow this to be built like a table so that suspension from trees is not a requirement. This does require pre-positioning materials but for building a DIY campsite quietly, maybe an option.
Where did he get a hand saw that sharp?

Or you can get a Bahco Laplander, which is also a good saw. I use it for trimming limbs in a treesttnd and sawing through deer pelvii when quartering them. They work well and are somewhat cheaper than the Silkey’s.
