Texas National Guard prepares for war on the border as Biden set to welcome 500,000 illegal immigrants a month
AUSTIN, TX – Illegal immigration is set to go nuclear on the U.S. -Mexico border, thanks to the Biden Administration, and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is going into war mode in a challenge to the White House-approved invasion.
Gov. Abbott has ordered the Texas National Guard along with state and local law enforcement to conduct military drills in an effort to deter hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants from crossing into the United States from Mexico.
The drills are a direct response to President Joe Biden admitting it is going to cancel Title 42, the COVID-19 public health policy that allows U.S. authorities to turn migrants away at the border before they can claim asylum. Title 42, used by both the Trump and Biden administrations, will be lifted at the end of May.
The drills began April 7, according to Texas Public Radio, and will continue through the end of May in anticipation of the more than 500,000 illegal immigrants expected to enter the country each month once the public health policy is lifted.

So does this mean that Texas is going to close their border using military? This sounds like a positive step since I believe that using large military numbers is the way to secure the border. But is the Texas border going to be closed off? Like a military demarcation line? That is what it will require in order to secure the border against the invasion that has been ongoing for the last several decades.
I agree. I found this piece that was published in October of 2010. Seems very relevant 12 years later.https://tenthamendmentcenter.com/2010/10/04/states-vs-feds-borders-and-the-constitution/
We shall see but I have my doubts; Abbott has lost a heap of respect from his base; he postures and makes noise but so much of his talk has been just that. Where has he been the last year with immigration, and the year before that with covid? Basically, waiting a couple months to check the wind, then following DeSantis with as little as he can get away with to make it seem he’s taking hard action. I’m told from local people (here in the Dallas area) he’s actually part of the Bush machine, e.g., if they can’t get another family member into high office, he’s their guy, so that explains the previous ‘all talk no action’ at the border, because the doners who employ illegals want it that way.
But he did draw two primary challengers who were quite hard on the border, but neither had the name or money behind them to really campaign hard enough to change the minds of headline readers. But his ‘base’ is highly agitated over his do-nothing approach, so we will see, and it won’t be long.
I will say this- even lip service is better than NOTHING. Hopefully they will continue to build fencing etc…
