Is Law Enforcement Becoming Obsolete? by 1SmoothMother

After watching the videos of the Uvalde Texas police officers all dressed in full kit equipped with the best body armor and equipment the citizen of Uvalde could buy just standing around and keeping busy pepper spraying and Tasering the desperate parents, All while they were being begged to save the kids was the last straw for me!

My money is on the Uvalde Police Chief was paid to stand down so as many kids as possible were killed in the operation.

He’s a Beto supporter, a Leftist hack and will most likely conveniently commit suicide any day since dead men don’t talk.

I’ve always been pro Law Enforcement however that’s all changed for me.

I got pulled over for taillight being out a few months back and unlike the old days when the sheriff said get it fixed son and sent me on my way, this guy wrote me the inevitable ticket.

So off I went to the courthouse because there was no other way to resolve it other than fix the light, go to court and waste most of my day just to show some bureaucrat my lights were fixed.

While enduring the pleasures of the racketeering operation called the court system, I noticed all the obese cops that were pathetically weak and incompetent loitering about, there was the 25 year admitted veteran cop strutting around with his gay drop leg holster and cocky attitude like he was Rambo.

There was a crying mother that just got an 800 dollar ticket for not moving over enough for one of the obese revenue agent’s safety while he was writing a ticket to another victim.

All the while after the judge passed down the sentences and fines, the obese revenue agents were gloating and praising each other in the corner and it was disgusting to watch.

I live in a small rural town of less than 2000 residents, were on a Major interstate and this is a Money Machine for my local cops and Sheriffs.

You can’t beat speeding tickets or pretty much anything else, the judges are heartless and corrupt, the cops need to keep up with their quotas and the taxpaying citizens pay the price literally.

For instance my town has a brand new police Station, spending 1 million Bucks to build it.

Along with 6 brand new patrol cars, an 80 thousand dollar boat and more. When this was being built I knew how it was going to be paid for, and you guessed it Tickets.

I’ve watched my local cops speed all over town, Tailgate, swerving through traffic, beat on the equipment, they all hide in there menacing looking cars behind the illegal tinted windows and are a huge waste of the taxpayers resources.

We also have a Sheriff’s Department with up to 6 of them on patrol at all times, sometimes two are posted up at our local intersections looking for an unsuspecting taxpayer to roll that stop sign.

And believe it or not my Sherriff is a Felon, a Game poacher and not allowed to possess a firearm.

The courts have ruled Police Officers have no obligation to protect you, Their firearm is to protect them while there busy writing tickets to the very people that pay there salaries, buy the patrol cars, the uniforms, the police stations and especially the firearms that there too scared to use on actual criminals because they shoot back.

It seems the only prerequisites it takes now to be a police officer is you need to be able to read, so u can learn the thousands of laws we break daily for their profit and be able to get your info off the drivers license for the ticket.

I’m sure some people will disagree and still think cops are heroes and are here for us, however after this latest school shooting along with constant videos of cops around the country assaulting and dragging parents from school board meetings because they don’t want their 10 year old learning about gay sex, as well as Sheriffs always protecting and escorting Child Protective Service agents on kidnapping operations, I beg to differ.

The days of Protect and serve are over, now it’s collect and serve with taxation by citation.

Cops work for the government not you.

Anything you say to them can and will be used against you.

There is nothing heroic about taking food money from the very people that pay you.

So Remember this. Bureaucrats have no power over people unless Police Officers oppress us for them, just ask the Australians and Canadians who are unarmed and defenseless by the way.

Without Police the Politicians have nothing and are unable to take our freedoms, money and property, kidnap our kids, force us to wear masks, take deadly shots, disarm us or any other measure they want to push on us.

Is there hope for the future of Law Enforcement?

I don’t think so.

The replacements and the United States Police Force say no not obsolete.
Just read about a Uniparty comrade commissar recommending five year mandatory minimum for any gun law violations.
Are laws obsolete since they don’t work?
Fear of anarchy is just too much for normie dullards.

Vote that sheriff out. Open up a class action lawsuit against the police department for malicious prosecution. Go after the mayor with a recall for allowing this activity. Not a lawyer, just suggestions.

If only this were true. I know that locally the require a college degree, but the base pay will only attract bullies. And as far as knowing the law, that’s laughable. There is on overwhelming amount of video evidence online that demonstrates your average cop knows little about the actual law.

Spot on.They’ll do whatever they have to in order to keep that paycheck or pension. When food goes even higher, they’ll do it ‘for their family.’ Same with everyone in the military. The tyranny of self interest which IIRC was posted here not long ago which explains it well: https://www.oftwominds.com/blogmay22/tyranny-self-interest5-22.html

You can tell how infected Americans are with this mental virus when, they hear criticism of their favorite celebrity, and they can come up with no other retort than: ‘wElL hE’S mORe SuccESSFuL tHAn yOU ARe.’

Everyone believes material success is THE measure of success. It’s not. Teaching your children that being a good, moral, and ethical person is far more important than their test scores or violin lessons. It’s critical to the survival of society. Material success should be the side effect of being a good person, not an end in itself.

    Pathetic…here’s another clue:

My tiny local village has its own LEO/EMS radio dispatch center. Works fine–always updated. We pay for it. Like the “My Barn–My Rules” deal. been working just fine for 50 years. We just went from analog to digital broadcasting=$$$.

But–the DemonRats and Commies in the “big city” of our county seat now wants (“demands”) ALL LEO/EMS radio systems to “merge” with their corrupt comms system. These morons are so ignorant–they put an antenna on the top of the county’s highest building, BUT they then placed all the main radio commo gear in the buildings basement–smack dab next to a huge nat gas boiler system AND massive electrical power supply and transformers. Needless to say, their “utopian” county-wide system is down most of the time. (wonder why?) THAT is great for all the criminals, crooks, and pirates in the central city.

Our three local Trustees told the “big boys” downtown where to shove their “county-wide LEO/EMS radio system,” and it wasn’t down the basement hole, but another orifice.

DO NOT LET THEM “CENTRALIZE” YOUR LEO/EMS RADIO DISPATCH SYSTEM!

PS Watch out for the ‘Nervous Nellies” who ring their hands: “We ain’t got no money for advanced commo systems–BUT UNCLE SUGAR has got some grants available…” NO!

You will then have dispatchers from the lowest percentile answering (if at all) with a “Whatchuwant?” attitude.

I want to disagree with you but I can’t because you are correct. I always here people say there are good cops and bad cops. So why do we tolerate the bad ones? The police know who the bad ones are but you rarely see action taken against them, till they cause a major incident. There needs to be major reforms in how police departments operate across the country. Police need the backing of their citizens to do the job. If a serious situation ever happens that police can’t get back up, it could get ugly fast. So would good law-abiding citizens stand with them or turn there backs? I’m starting to think they might be left on there own.

Sounds like you have a couple of agencies that need a serious house cleaning. Just like a few federal agencies I can think of. Find like-minded fellow citizens, unite and demand change in both these departments. Hold them accountable, loudly, and publicly. Make the voters aware. It all starts at the top. If there is any corrupt behavior or malfeasance at the top, it will permeate downwards. Get a copy of their general orders and their policy manuals, and see what policies they routinely violate. Do they have a mission statement? Are they following that? If they won’t come around, replace the leadership.

Real law enforcement is a calling, but too many in the industry are there because it’s “just a job”. Too many of them are there for the benefits. Too many can get way too comfortable and the badge can get way too big. And if the local court system is supporting any of that behavior, then those judges need to go as well. Like any group of people, whether in the private sector, military, take your pick… you get a mixed bag of the good and the bad. But in law enforcement the bad have to be weeded out. And if the fellow officers won’t stand up and do it, then it’s up to the citizenry to demand better. Unfortunately, many agencies, especially in smaller towns or counties, end up with people in uniform that shouldn’t be in the business.. That never should have made it through the hiring process. But it happens. And the difficulties in finding qualified people nowadays are compounded with all the defund garbage going on. The applicant pool has shrunk to the point where some agencies are lowering their standards, and that cannot happen. The mall cops and wannabes are a typically a really bad investment. It used to be that you could count on prior military folks to be squared away and become good cops if they could make the transition. But that doesn’t always hold true anymore, either.

A sheriff that’s a convicted felon and can’t possess a firearm… You can’t be serious. Who’s he related to that he stays in that office? I don’t know what the laws are in your state but he never would have been allowed to put his name on a ballot here. Was he appointed? The cancers in the system need to be removed. But again, it starts at the very top. Citizens deserve better. Is law enforcement obsolete? My answer is no. It can’t be allowed to become obsolete. But LE has to be held to answer. Without the trust and confidence of the citizenry, you have nothing. And we devolve into jungle law.

I took my oath seriously, for over 36 years. And I still do. Protection of life, and property. Uphold our Constitution. Put people in jail that need to be there. I trained many others to do the same. I wasn’t always successful. But I never gave up. You can’t. It’s that simple.

Everyone of them, chief first should be eating their Glocks over that. The town should force all of their resignations.

The police nationwide assaulted moms for not wearing masks and slammed grandmothers to the ground in banks for not wearing masks while kneeling to BLM and Antifa. During the election steal, the police kept out conservative poll watchers – on tape – even after a court order ordered them to allow the poll watchers in. They also faithfully participated in arrests of those who peacefully protested on January 6, 2021 at the Capitol building that WE all pay for. In every state. Even in the conservative redoubt of Florida. Need I mention what they did when slamming the father to the ground in VA who was rightfully outraged over his daughter being raped by a transgender?

They made their choice my fellow conservatives. It just isn’t to back you.

Seriously, stop projecting your good nature onto them. You do not sign their paychecks, you do not fund their pensions, nor are you shoulder to shoulder with them when they have to deal with shit. In short, they have a bond but it isn’t with you. I get it, you want to believe in something. You want to believe that some institution that you respect isn’t a total shit show. When our favorite talk show host to make fun of about the gay frogs says “I just wanted to believe in the police” he revealed a lot.

Law enforcement is an institution which is made up by the sum of the parts. The parts are the men in the institution. It isn’t a deity that is immune from criticism. Nor is it in the ten commandments that “Thou shall honor thy police.” Stop treating them as a religious entity.

If the command structure is people like Danielle Outlaw, or Lori Lightfoot, or the “Go home safe at all costs” tough guys in Uvalde, who do you think they hire and promote?

    Exactly.

“I live in a small rural town of less than 2000 residents, were on a Major interstate and this is a Money Machine for my local cops and Sheriffs.”

I get the frustration, but time and time again, I’ve noticed that small, rural towns often have this problem. Stop allowing small cities to have their own police. It breeds corruption and incompetence. Contract with the sheriff or the state troopers. Get your legislators to change the law to create different funding sources for police than just tickets.

Everyone s—t talks California, but quotas are banned, speed traps are banned, traffic officers must be in marked units and uniform, ticket revenue is pooled to the state and a portion returned specifically to avoid cities doing the above kind of garbage. California is even trying to get the absurd court fees taken off so that a $100 ticket really is $100.

Start talking to your legislators and start community action groups. Vote for city council members that will get rid of the crappy police department. You want better cops? Be one. Law enforcement is a cross-section of the community and I’d be you could find an analogue to the police behavior even in private business.

And trust me, when the cops no longer show up for duty you’ll wish they were back. Law and order, not necessarily cops, are what restrain crime. Without anyone to arrest criminals, crooks will have no restraint but force from their would-be victims. When there is no police, everyone has to be his own cop. It’s not something you wish for.

A worthless “service” every person should do on there own in there day to day lives. If we have to pay people to do this shit then it was never real “service” to begin with. They serve there policy holders, they already picked there side. Also if you want to go the Romans 13 route for argument sake the word “Government” is literally the same word for deacon; and that literally means “a person of superior moral character”. They (the morally superior) are not voted in by people collectively, ordained by higher or lower magistrates, but naturally commishioned based on there deeds and character (a standard God already set in place). As of when do I need permission of people collectively to do what is right or administer justice? The Police are worthless!!!

  14. Truth in Tension June 17, 2022 at 08:04

Tax supported unionized police agencies are always corrupt, as there is almost no accountability, and implied immunity is just a license to kill. Various studies have shown that you are 60 times more likely to be shot by the cops when you call 911. I apologize that I do not have the sources handy.

Some wealthy neighborhoods have removed the city and county police as they now hire private security firms that can be fired if the firm does not provide service based on “Protect and Serve”. Our weakness is we have been trained to look to government to take care of us. City, county, school districts, state, and federal governments no longer represent us and they especially will not protect us. They represent other special interests and unions. The tax payer is just the sucker to be taxed to oblivion. Centralized union tax funded police are in fact obsolete. Who is John Galt? TEXIT!
